Off-roading in Southern California??

Just got to the top of Cleghorn now. Little bit of Mud. Shoulda took some air out of tires for a softer ride but my 2 yo is living all the bouncing.

 

Yes!! Let's get a run going for Mojave Trail. I've always wanted to go. Camp on the trail and everything. Some say you need 3 days so you're not rushing the run. However, I've looked into wrapping the truck also, not to into desert pin stripping on the Tundra.

I work nights at the hospital and I'll be there the next 3 so I'll only be free Sunday.

 

I'd be down to run some trails in Big Bear in the spring. I've run all the hardest trails in my '88 4Runner but none in the Tundra. Looking forward to it.

 

Damn, Can't make it this weekend. Have some friends coming in this weekend plus I need to do the brakes on the FJ. However, I was going to do a visit the weekend after this one. TDS is having there 55th Run out there.

You in San Diego? Anza? Probably just do some of the basic runs. The girlfriend and I are going to take our new puppy out with us to expose her to the offroad life early on and to see how she does with the bumpy ride.

 

Hey Bud! I'm up in Newport Beach actually. Anywhere good between us?? I checked the trail reports at the places real near me (Santiago Canyon, Silverado etc) and those roads are still closed from the rain it says. I'm not sure if the Asuza offroad park is back open. I was thinking head to CLEGHORN or HESPERIA tomorrow, but haven't been before so need to do some research.
