What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Still lots of salt on the roads around here, so please pardon the grime, but threw the tailgate inserts in yesterday. I got bed inserts as well, but one of the letters didn't quite fit, waiting to hear back from the vendor...

Did the diff breather mod a little while ago...

 

Nice! Have the parts to do the breather mod myself, just have to find time.

 

Thanks! The part that took the longest was finding the parts I wanted. Install was only a few minutes.

 

Can someone educate me on the purpose of the differential mod?

 

On top of the rear diff, you will see a little breather threaded into it. This sucks in air to cool the diff. While this is ok, if you drive into water above it, it will suck in water destroying your gears. Water is not a good lubricant. If you never drive into deep water, you'll be ok but for $20 I bought the parts and am playing it safe.

 

First week with it..... Locker Down for the .45 and Iron Cross Patriot boards for the family.

 

I just ordered mine. I am thinking about blacking out that badge and then maybe color matching the 5.7 Iforce V-8 part of it

 

I tried haul ass mode tonight. It was fun!

 

But have you tried beast mode???

 

I turned off the nanies and got a little slideways if that's what you mean.

 

I haven't done this yet :/

 

I'm kind of hoping it's like an add on part...

Saw in eBay they have a raptor grille for our trucks which comes with the ambers installed and a wire harness might be changing out the ol pro grille lol

Thanks guys. Love it and make me love the truck even more with such a simple change. Did the raptor mod over the weekend too. Just need to clean up the wiring a bit.

Yep that's it for the price I'd like to see it first too, but wonder if I could just take the insert out to keep my painted trim
