howdy, i have heard plenty of positive things about tech12volts. Being thats the case i have attempted to reach out to them with inquiries via email to get little to no responses. I am not attempting to throw any shade towards the company but is there anyway i could get ahold of them quicker than via email?

    thanks

Email is the way to go. Confused on how you get “little to no responses”. He either responded or he didn’t. How many emails are you sending? If he didn’t respond, send another email after allowing for a reasonable time to respond.

I emailed them about 1 inquiry and got only 1 response back and still haven’t had my second email answered. I emailed them again about another inquiry and still haven’t heard back. I do understand that they’re a small company and like i said by no means am i trying to talk bad about them.

How long have you been waiting for a response? I exchanged a few dozen emails with James Over the course of a couple weeks from ordering through install and he was always good about getting back to me in a timely manner - sometimes responding well after midnight his time when I figured at best I would get a response the next day. If he doesn’t respond in a day or so try again. He is a super busy guy. Or maybe he finally took some time off.

I've only had to email James maybe twice and both times he has responded fairly quick, within a day or two.

    Be patient my friend.

Might not be a bad idea to reach out again. Sometimes emails get buried or could have gone to a different folder. At work I sometimes send the same email days apart just to bump it up to the top of the list.

I would give him some time....life happens or maybe he is on vacation. One thing is sure - he will get back to you and his service is top notch. Patience is a virtue

Was your email about the tweeters in the dash> sent 1 day ago? And the other question about a sub box you bought from one of our customers?

I know he's on vacation right now, so it may be because of that. try again once they're back next week.

Yup...said he'd be away in Daytona for about week starting July 3 and that he would not be checking his phone/email during the day and may or may try and get back to people at night.

100% agree. He saved me a least a few hundred bucks over getting everything through Crutchfield.

I will be getting some stuff from him and my audio store owner friends with. Also friends with the installer. My place don’t do customs sub boxes and he don’t mind me getting some stuff from him to make it easier and cost effective for me. I’m also getting all my precut sound deadening from James. And few other things. I only do my build one time so I make sure I get everything right the first time. The only thing that could change down the road is adding a new headunit. Staying with the factory JBL headunit for now. All of my other builds over the years I changed the headunit. I feel very confident my installer will make my system kick ass even keeping the factory headunit. They have been in the business for along time.

I just reached out via email and got a bounce back saying their mailbox is full. Can anyone clue me in if you can do anything with the JBL Amp? I see his packaged offerings on his website that seem to indicate you can change the amp out. Do the four door speakers still use factory wiring with the aftermarket amp? I wish I would have found this thread before I took a friends advice. I bought a Kenwood DDX9907XR head unit from Crutchfield with the Maestro Harness and interface to keep factory controls. I also bought (4) 6.5" Kappa 603CF Component speakers. I abandoned the front door factory tweeter and mounted the Kappa Tweeters in the dash and rear door. Sounds way better than stock JBL but I think could be way better if driving the Kappa 6.5's with more power. I was advised to get them because they are 3 ohm and have high sensitivity but they are still quieter than factory at same volume level.
