Does anyone have one of these rear flip down steps on their truck..?

The rear mount spring loaded step that flips down so its easy to step into the bed...?

I like the idea, but i'm thinking where it gets mounted that it would get loaded with mud / road debris, and in the winter, loaded with slush.
And.. here in the northeast, loaded with road salt, so wondering how it would hold up to rusting.
It says its made out of aluminum, but the spring has to be steel, how long would that last..?

    Any input is greatly appreciated..!!

The TrekStep is a spring-loaded step that provides easy access to the bed at rear corner of driver side. Quickly flip the step down with a push of your foot when needed, flip step up to stow under the rear bumper. Bolt-on installation. Non-skid powder-coat finish step surface for better traction, stability. 3-year, 36,000 mile Limited Warranty.

I have one installed on my truck and it is one of the best upgrade. I'm on the shorter side and it makes it easy to get on and off the truck bed. I live in socal in don't have to worry about road salt. I've had it for 2 years and it looks brand new.

I have that one. I'm in NY just spray the spring with Fluid Film. I get no debris on mine.
