Yep. I’ll update when Shine Supply responds. It may be an issue of the Griots bottle not being suitable for it.

I use the bottles that Shine Supply sells and haven't had any issues. I have wise guy in 2 of those bottles and no leaks or problems with the sprayers for over a year.

I actually had the same thing happen. Shine Supply ate the bottom of the spray bottle and leaked all over... But I was using a very concentrated solution.

Any APC will do. I use Optimum Power Clean, buy it by the gallon and dilute it to different strengths for different tasks. Door handle cleaning..5:1. If I'm coating the plastic, I clean with CarPro Eraser instead.

Soooo....has anyone done anything with graphene at all yet? From an actual coating to the "cheater" version like Adam's spray graphene coating? I've gotten the understanding that it changes the contact angle of the water that helps eliminate the water spotting you'll get with almost everything else out there. I think Adam's had a claim on there spray of like 7 years or something. I think pan the organizer had mentioned something about it before saying that it may overtake ceramic coatings (don't quote that). Again, just curious if someone has messed with it or read up on it yet?

I’m not a big Adams fan but interested in where this leads. I will check out the vids and see. I can always put it on the fj for fun. Has anyone on the forum tried this stuff.

I've been following the graphene craze pretty closely. The first I read about it was on Autopia in June of 2019. It is alleged to be easier than ceramic to apply, and the 7 year protection claim from Adams is on their graphene ceramic coating, not the spray version. I've also been looking at the Ethos Graphene...pretty pricey at 99.00 for a 30ml bottle. What I have seen, at least on newly applied graphene coatings, is crazy gloss and hydrophobicity. How well they hold up largely depends on how well they're maintained.

I can wait until the prices come down a little....and I buy something (new or newer) that is worthy of me spending the time to properly prep a car for a coating. For now, Griots 3 in 1 on the Sequoia and Wolfgang SIO2 Sealant on the Tundra will just have to do.

I remember hearing about it a few months back and the person saying that it may take over. The video by The Rag Company had the guy saying that graphene is in lots of products and will be widely used in the future, but it'll be a lil bit. I'm not too stressed about trying to get it to apply. I usually like to let something hit and hear reviews before I jump all over something like that. If I happen to find it in the store, I may try it. I kinda wish they would try to go back to the world of sheeting and not beading. As much as I like looking at the bead work, it joy is shortlived as the water spots start to appear have. If I happen to run across some, I may try it on something, but I'm not gonna be going out of my way until more results come to surface....or I'll wait for @War Machine to go ahead and buy and try it lol

For sheeting I think Jescar Powerlock is the best I have used. I know its not a coating but it's good stuff.

Any preferences on spray bottles? i was about to order Adam's spray bottles but noticed the recent Amazon reviews saying the quality has gotten worse. A lot of other reviews of other bottles have issues with leaking, etc.

Griots Garage spray bottles with the red and white Opus sprayer are good......I've also had very good luck with the Chemical Guys 16oz bottles combined with the Tolco sprayers...(link below). The Tolco sprayers are nice because they are fully adjustable.

Forgot to update: Shine Supply called me and emailed me. They have never seen this happen, and said there should be no reason that the bottle wasn’t suitable. I suspect that another chemical in the cabinet leaked at some point and caused the issue. There was a bottle of wheel acid behind it, which does require a more sturdy bottle. I think it may have leaked a little, so when I set the other bottle down there it ate the plastic.

Too much money, and maybe 20% of the things I bought ever got used more than once. As of a couple of months ago, I have it all narrowed down to a small range of products. I’d rather just spend the money on replenishing my favorites. I have never been a big fan of coatings anyway.

I watched that yesterday. I was surprised the Adams performed so well. ( If that’s the same thing as their Ceramic Spray Coating they came out with early last year. My bottle looked different. ) Not my experience with that product AT ALL.

I do like coatings but when you consider proper maintenance it seems like you can achieve the same results with spray sealants. True coatings are a lot of work take time and cost a bit. They are not a end all solution for car care. I am very much liking trim coatings cerakote and dlux have been great products in the routine. I think most have a misconception about coatings that you just get the coating on and it’s easy breezy but that is just not the case.
