Yeah it's possible their diesel does use the Aisin. I thought they mostly used Allison but I'm not sure.

GM uses the Allison with the Duramax.

Okay, everyone. I can now say it's complete. I did the tempature check and only had to fill 1 quart of ATF. I went on a 1 hour drive while it was 62° outside going up and down hilly terrain with wide open throttle on a lot of them. Pan temp maintained 189-191° the whole time. The torque converter got up to 210° but quickly dropped to match the ATF temp within 15 seconds of slowing down or going back down a hill. The hill I was using was close to a 1 mile long. Me doing this prior to the cooler the pan temp would get to 220° pretty fast. The cooler does it's job. After the drive, the cooler was very hot to the touch and was dispersing the heat very well.

I take it you didn't have the thermostat pinned during the test?
Nice to see the temp dropped quickly, must mean the thermostat is opening somewhere around that 210 mark?

I only pinned it for the ATF level check. During the test I had the pin out. Based on my results, the thermostat opens around 190°.

    Good day,

So I was reading all the posts last week about the transmission temps in 2019 & 2020 Tundra. I own a 2020 TSS 4x4 Crewmax w/5.7L engine. I bought the Veepeak obd2 connector and downloaded the fusion app on my ipad; pretty painless; and using the info in previous threads entered the algorithm for the trans pan temp. Went down the interstate with the truck about 40 miles with the cruise set at 70mph; trans temp is showing 213-214 degrees. Screen shots below.D1.jpg D2.jpg D5.jpg

Will do this again eventually with a loaded utility trailer; want to add about 6000 lbs to the tow hitch and see what happens.

Just so you know this thread is dead. A new one was posted above your first post.

Exactly what is that trans out of ?

Those fittings are EXACTLY what Id like to find.
The new '19/'20 trucks still have threads in them.
