Thanks, I coated it in black Raptor liner with half a cup of sand mixed into each litre for grip and durability. I coated the rear bumper and sliders the same (grip for footing) so wanted to keep front bumper matched. I really like the texturing with the sand added into the mix, plus it’s basically 80 grit sandpaper so nonslip. I also mounted the bull-bar on my bumper reversed. It’s normally supposed to sweep backward to parallel the grill angle. But it gets in the way of opening the hood, unless you utilize the cheesy bull-bar hinges. I think it looks better forward leaning anyway (a tad more aggressive looking imo)

The Sahara bumper has been discontinued, so you’ll need to find used or new-old stock somewhere.

Here is a decent profile shot of the bumper from the side.

I'm really loving the Tough Country Apache, of course I definitely want the tube running in front of the grill, I'm in FL where people tend to forget how to drive at a moments notice and run a red light  Wanna make sure Tidra walks away with minor front end if possible, I pray for any vehicle as small as a prius that might decide the light was green god forbid when it wasn't after I get this front end lol:spending:

I have an Iron Cross bumper coming soon and I would like to run some LED driving lights wired up from the factory switch. Does anyone have a recommended set up? It will need to be about a 3x6 LED housing, but open to other options.

I went with the 3rd gen Rough Country bumper... Fit is ok, 9/10. I wanted the ADD Venom, but got a better deal through RC, as I'm a dealer.

I also went with the 3rd gen RC bumper on my 2013. Thanks to @1BadTundra for answering alot of questions regarding install. My only complaint is RC put all of the hardware in one bag so you have to sort through it. I am replacing the lights with Rigids though so that I can have street legal fogs. The RC pods are bright but have one hell of a glare and some people have mentioned condensation issues.

Line-X'ed today. Now I just have to get it adjusted to close up the gap and put the lights back in. 20200810_185642.jpg

Nothing technical on bumpers, I just can’t get over how much a new bumper decal helped make mine look new again :)

Finally installed!!! Victory 4x4 Strike bumper/Modified. Purchased in bare steel and modified to fit my choice of lighting. Had to play around with the mounting holes a bit to get the gap evened out. Also one of their brackets didn't work with my radiator so I could not use it. 8 bolts holding it on plus the 4 bolts through the tow hooks. Poly Armor coating from local powder coat company.
Rough Country 6" LED Flush Mount and Baja Design Squadron Pro Amber Fog Lights.!!! Still need to wire the lights.

Getting awfully nervous with all the bad said about Victory 4x4 over the last year. With the new job and new gf I completely missed all the talk of issues on here. I bought mine last December or so, and it hasn’t been installed due to my own procrastination...:(

Hope so! I’ll be rather upset if I dropped that amount of coin on a bumper that doesn’t fit/line up...

    Iron bumpers
For those who like diy, cutting, welding, painting, there are some trucks with front iron bumpers at junkyards. Need to adjust mounts via cutting welding lol
I know some iron bumpers cost 1500, even if you get something for 500 usually it is not worthy..

I just found out (after the bumper arrived at my house), that I ordered the wrong year fitment... very bummed since it’s been a multi month process to get the parts for my build. if anyone wants to buy a brand new in the box N-Fab M-RDS front bumper in textured black, drop me a note. Fits 2nd gen tundras. I’m in Utah.

Sorry to hear that. But for what it’s worth the 2nd gen m-rds will fit the 3rd gen tundras, with just a little more gap. I have a 2nd gen tundra and I sold my m-rds bumper to @Shelbie67 with a 3rd gen tundra and it actually looks really good. If you can’t sell it for what you want for it, I’d say install it

Quick update: I contacted N-Fab, and they offered to exchange it for me. They pick it up tomorrow. This is great news and wanted to share, as not every company would do this, I wanted to give them recognition.

Anyone if you like the C4 overland style bumper.....you can get it on the 07-13 as well! Just heard back from C4. Can get full height, mid height, or no bull bar

if its like the hybrid. They are straight bumpers and you cut the valence in half to make it straight for the bumper to sit. (vs the victory4x4 that follows the contours)
I'd like to see pictures of the c4 overland on a gen 2.
