Not this shit again... The Tundra is a 13 year old platform. We know it way under what the competition offers, even in the mini truck segment. Let's wait until NextGen before we start comparing.

Aluminuminuminum maybe? Strip enough things from the Tundra and it could have that payload too...

Didn’t the gen 1 tundra have the same payload as a gen 1 taco?

if you put 1300lbs in a ranger it will be sitting on the bumpstops too

...And neither were full size. The Gen 1 Tundra was 7/8th full size.

Dont get me wrong, I think the payload numbers for the Tundra are BS. I had 1K of flooring in my Tundra and couldn't even tell it was there. I actually weighted my truck and did the math and my payload came out at 830lbs with only a few accessories added. My Camry is rated at 905lbs.

I personally load my truck bed by sight and experience, keeping in the back of my mind what the numbers should be. How can you possibly weigh everything you load into your truck in the real world when you work with it?, you just cant. Towing on the other hand should definitely be more calculated for safety reasons.
