Hello all, i have been on here for a few months checking things out and making a few posts. But finally ready to introduce my 2020 TRD Sport / SR5 upgrade. My 1st Toyota was my 2013 Tacoma and I loved that truck. Traded in with 64K miles on it. wanted a bigger truck to tow my Travel Trailer. I couldn't see myself in any other truck other than a Toyota. Love the Tundra, it's very smooth, quiet, comfortable and just as fun to drive as the Tacoma. After doing many mods to the Tacoma, I decided not to do any mods to the Tundra. I think the truck is perfect just the way it is. Well, at least until I make our fist trip with the TT, then we will see if I need to add air bags. Glad to be here on the forum, looking forward to reading many posts.

Welcome from NC. Unless your wife takes all your credit cards, all your cash, doesn't allow you on the internet, won't let you talk to, see or look at other tundra's and owners. The "I'm gonna leave it stock" will only last a little while. Very lofty goals, but these trucks just scream "Mod's"

My wife didn't even know i bought the truck until i brought it home. She asked where the Taco was, i told her it was at the dealership for service and I rented this truck for the next 60 months. She didn't find it very humorous at all and she didn't speak to me for 2 days. So when it comes to money, I make it - I spend it. Like Frank Sinatra said, "I did it my way"...lol

Welcome, as mentioned it won’t be stock for long. I say 11 days before you’ve modded something. That accounts for delayed shipping times.

I'm sure I will do a few Mods, just nothing crazy like a Lift - wheels - tires - armor, like I did with the Taco. I already added the Bed Cover and Tow mirrors. And yup those arrived before the truck did, the wife just didn't put 2 and 2 together and figure out that there was going to be a new Truck in the driveway. I have a few cosmetic things on order, but nothing major

    Congrats !

I traded my gutless 2018 Tacoma on a 2020 Crewmax and never looked back. I fucking HATED driving that thing and absolutely enjoy every minute behind the wheel of my Tundra. The difference is like night and day. Wish I never bought the Tacoma in the first place.

I had a 2013 Tacoma. It had enough power to tow my 27' travel trailer @ 5500#, although it did struggle going up steep grades, but it did it. I know what you're saying though, what a huge difference. I wish I traded in my Taco many years ago, I waited way too long for the Tundra. So glad i finally did it. Never looking back.

You had the 4.0 V6... same engine as my wifes 2016 4runner... and that motor is plenty torquey for the Tacoma and 4runners.
I towed a landscape trailer loaded with a Kubota tractor and a bunch of misc junk... about 900 mles from PA to GA a few years ago. The 4runner handled it WAY better than I expected.

My 2018 Tacoma had the gutless 3.5 Camry engine in it. It didn't make power until 3500+ RPM's and couldn't even maintain speed into a headwind going down the highway. It would lose speed until it had to downshift... gets back up to speed... upshifts... then loses speed again until having to downshift.
It would do this pathetic dance all the way down the highway unless I clicked it into S4 and revved the piss out of it.

It felt like a gigantic invisible parachute dragging behind me at all times. I hated driving that thing and it probably took a few years off my lifespan from the stress.

Welcome, you will enjoy the Tundra. But in all honesty, you will probably be doing some mods and upgrades as time goes on.

I know, but I'm going to hold off as long as i can on the Mods, the wife hasn't gotten over the fact that i bought a new truck with out her ok. She can't be that mad about it, i'm still sleeping in the same bed.
