The bed has an inner shell and outer shell. I wouldn't self tap them and trust it to hold. I'm using the predrilled and tapped bolt holes in the side of the bed meant for the bed rail system.

put it to work again. dang ford died in the middle of driving. no gauge, no fourways, no nothing. my driver coasted to a parking lot and put it in park, now, won't even shift and there's no bypass. which begs a good question...is there a bypass to be able to put a dead tundra into neutral? my land cruiser has a button under a blank right by the shifter, but my tundra is column shift

Check to see if there's something like an access cover on the steering column itself and the 15A STOP fuse in the fuse box under the hood.

EDIT: My Owner's Manual says that the release in on the top center of the column.

I did valve cover gaskets. I dreaded it. By design, the valve cover has oil squirters right near the spark plug tubes. Next time I will just suck the oil out by a vacuum hose before I replace the gaskets. I dreaded doing this and waited a year. It took 5 hours. If you decide to do it. Do yourself a favor and detach the 2 coolant hoses towards the bumper on the passenger side. Coolant will spill out. Just top it back up when done.

Put the new Taillights on. The smoked part was supposed to be on the top but they sent the smoked bottom.

Looks awesome! Yeah, according to Mrs. Machine the decals are a challenge, but they do look great.

Did you order all new badges off the Amazon link I shared? If so, the adhesive sucks. Mine were coming loose pretty quickly. You’ll want to pull it off and get some 3M tape.

Yeah, they turned out nice and should look good once I get them on there.

I did order the same badges you linked to and noticed in the reviews that the adhesive sucked. I'll grab some 3m tomorrow.

    Thanks again!

Just my .02 but I think it looks tacky...maybe bc the truck is white. Most of us go brighter because of idiot drivers, not cover it up.

Got the gap closed up a little. What a pain in the butt. Still needs some adjustment but its good enough for now until the weather cools off. 20200811_145230.jpg 20200811_145240.jpg 20200811_145252.jpg 20200811_145329.jpg 20200811_145339.jpg 20200811_145334.jpg

Headlights done - Now is there a way to incorporate the leveling motor on these cheap ebay headlights? I just took it off the old ones and left it sitting behind the headlight till I get some zip ties.

No modifying at all Just shimming it out 1/2 inch and adjusting it to where you want it. It would be easier to adjust with 2 people. I did it myself. And I had mine Line'Xed to match the rest of the truck.

Did some concrete work for my new side yard gate (to keep our dachshunds from digging out). First time using my new Firestone bags/Air Lift EZ compressor that I installed last week.

Nice! They are aggressive with everything. They are quite vicious when they are in “go mode”. We have 4 but my girl doxy is very small and docile, she got ahold of an opossum and I was quite surprised at how savage she was.

Finally got around to dipping my wheels anthracite gunmetal grey. Doesn’t show up in pics great but there is a slight metallic to it, almost a satin metal look. Turned out great! Now I just have to wash the truck....maybe tomorrow

About 1/2 mile from the oldest boy's new dorm today and I hear a light, grinding noise. "WTF is that?"..I thought. Once parked I checked under the truck and I see the rear gas tank strap has broken. Thank goodness I keep a few 2" ratchet straps under the rear seat.
