I'm sure this had been beaten to death by now, but I'm a new 2020 Tundra owner and am seriously considering fender flares - more as functional than esthetic. I have 18x9 Fuel Vectors +20 with 285/75/18 Ridge Grappplers. The tires now stick out about 1.65 inches beyond the fender. I'm more concerned about gravel chips than anything else. I'm looking at the OEM style color matched flares from Sparks.

Suggestions? Please post pics if you have them. Thanks!

The poke isn’t that bad imo. I would keep truck the way it is.

@FordConvert @Henry2019 How about this one? I'm looking for some flares myself. About 3.5" outside the fenders.

You should look into fender flares for sure imo. That is a lot of poke and potential for slinging.

I've been looking but I've only found a max coverage of 1.75". That's better than what I have now, I guess. Most likely won't go with the fiberglass fenders either. Not crazy about that look.

If not fender flares, how about wider aftermarket mud flaps?

haha, I've got a buddy who put bushwacker flares on his F-150, and they are HIDEOUS!!! I didn't have the heart to tell him other than your definitely gonna need bigger tires. I'm not a fan of them at all, but it's personal preference, at least get them color matched. Just my .02

i would take a look at bushwhacker fender flares. they have more coverage than the OEM ones.

I looked into flares a few months back. If I recall correctly, the OEM flares are actually made by bushwhacker. Bushwhacker also sells flares with greater coverage, so it all depends on what look and how much protection you need.

I read MANY reports of folks having problems with flares from various manufacturers rubbing the paint and causing issues. I plan to put some Xpel film under the flares if I go that route.

i added them for functional reasons too but i also like the look as it ties into my build. my wheels are 0 offset so they poke about 2 inches from fender without flares. with, they are flush so if you're poking 1.65 inches and put on oem style it may be flush. we would need someone with oem to confirm or maybe check the specs on the oems to see how thick they are.

anytime you add flares you have to decide if they will be on for good or potentially take them off. most, if not all, will cause some paint damage. some can be buffed out, others may not depending on how deep. after two years i pulled mine and have very little perm damage but i did paint correction then xpel ppf before putting them back. no more rock chips, pinstripes of flare damage.

    here's bushwhacker pocket style ~2 inch thick flares on 33's (305/55/20), 20" procomp 7031 0 offset

    good luck.

I have OEM fender flares on my truck and my wheels are 0 offsets - the wheels/tires extend a little past the flares.
With the OP's wheels +20 offset, I think his wheels/tires will be flushed with the OEM flares.
