Replaced the driver's side weather stripping. Was pleased to notice reduced road noise.received_771695313593605.jpg received_773460680112478.jpg

Nice! I wish these parts were not so expensive. I'd like to do mine and the window trim.

You aren't kidding about the $$. I'm going to be careful with how I step on the door plate when loading items up top...

The cost is justified. To extrude a "wire carrier" (metal thing inside the weatherstrip) inside a rubber cavity is a tedious, and tricky job to get everything to set correctly.

Not to mention needing to cut the extrusion to length, and then mold the ends together.

All these processes are 20 years old for our trucks, and in my eyes will only get more expensive as the equipment used to create these are used less, and less.

Good on ya! Put some Aerospace 303 on them to keep them fresh and new looking. Has UV protection and even fluffs/restores up old weatherstripping even though its not sold as such.

Anyone else reading, it helps to pull these back and clean behind them on occasion to get the dirt/crud build up out.

Does anyone have the part numbers for the Drivers and Passenger side weather stripping? For some reason all I can find is door-specific. Mine is all torn about the same way yours is.

Nice work! I bet that wasn't easy.
Yeah, as the 'Hand Man' mentioned above, I frequently put some 303 protectant on a small rag and go over and inside all of my weatherstripping. I don't look forward to tackling that project. Good on ya!
