We are picking up our new travel trailer, a Lance 2075, next week. It’s a step up in size and weight from our previous Jayco X18D. Our Tundra towed the 4500# (when loaded) Jayco with ease. The dry weight of the larger Lance is 4400# and loaded weight is 6200#. I will be using an Equilizer WD hitch and my truck has Firestone air bags that I ran about 10# when towing the Jayco.
2FBDD9A8-F05F-4556-A39B-7E92BD4B3CDB.jpg I know there are varied opinions on the Tundra and it’s towing abilities. At approximately 6000-6200 pounds will I notice a lot more strain on my Rock Warrior and start longing for a more capable tow vehicle or will I only notice a slight difference from towing our lighter Jayco?

I think a CM 4x4 with tow package is rated over 9k, you should be plenty fine when properly set-up.

As long as you manage your tongue weight/payload you will be fine.

If the load is setup properly the Tundra will handle it no problem. I regularly tow 7,000 lbs with mine, set up with WD hitch and Firestone bags. The big downside is the mileage and small gas tank.

Do you have a brake controller installed?

I should probably delete this post. Since I posted it I traded the Rock Warrior on a 2019 Platinum. We are picking up our new Lance 2285 (not a 2075...it’s a long story) tomorrow! Can’t wait!

Love lance trailers.... my 2019 crew max pulls a lance 2285 without any issues... equalizer wdh is a good choice...

See if the dealer has a tounge weight scale.. then you will know how much gear you can put in the bed of the truck

Yep, it’s a 2285! The dealer didn’t have one in stock when we put a deposit on the 2075 but had told us the 2285 was his top selling Lance by far. He told us to watch his website and when we saw it had arrived to drive down and look at it. He thought we would like it better and if we did we could change our mind and buy it instead. So it arrived a week later and as soon as we stepped inside we knew we would be changing our mind....and it was $2k less expensive...and a 2021 vs. a 2020!! Although we haven’t camped in it yet we really like it so far. Way more quality than the average travel trailer. We are leaving soon for Destin Florida for 10 days for our annual vacation in a condo on the beach BUT when we return we have 2 weeks booked at a state park here in Ohio so her maiden voyage will have to wait. I see by your picture you are taking advantage of the 4 season capabilities that Lance is famous for!

You will love it... the 2 grey tanks are nice... the solar panels are the best, atteries are always charged.. 12v televisions are awesome...

Only change i made was removing the slide out tub in the front storage compartment.. it lasted almost a year.. but eventually warped and got stuck..

Dang... I like that tub. Guess they should have made it more robust. I put the Equilizer head in the generator compartment and the spring bars in the tub and the bars were too much weight for it so I removed them. they are under the back seat of the Tundra.

Man those Lances are nice. They really are a level up from about anything. Oliver makes a heck of a travel trailer also!

Oh yes, Oliver’s are awesome but we need the extra space in a Lance because we camp with 3 Boxers. My wife thought the Oliver’s look a little sterile inside but definitely high quality.
