Yeah, I took half of Friday, all of Saturday, and I think Sunday off and came back to see the lunch thread was 5 pages deeper, WHYD thread was 2-3 extra pages deep and the entire 1st page of threads list was all marked unread. Y'all MF talk too damn much :D

While I was up there I checked in solely on those 2 pages cause I know what they do. @Tundra2 will fill a whole page by himself.

I’m about 15-20 pages behind, been skimming whenever I have a few minutes.

On another note, just came from the Habitat Re-Store. If you homeowners have 1 local to you, this place needs routine visits, never know what you may find. I just purchased a new bathroom vanity for $100, looked it up online and it is going for $1,000.

Have one very close to my house, we've donated lots of stuff there, new and used. I have $600 in leftover glass tile I found in the basement from a bathroom remodel in '09 I planned to donate soon. You can really score some wicked deals there, but you can also expect any given package to lack crucial bits of hardware. Not an issue if you're well-stocked in spare hardware or well-versed in the product enough to know what's missing.

I plan to finish out our basement with stuff from there where possible.

We donate stuff from time to time but we are regulars there. Rectified porcelain tile 12x24 $1 square foot, latex grout $5 a pail (the best grout) and I can keep going. We sell some of the stuff also, side hustles

Gotta do it, it’s expensive to live here in paradise.

Got a deal on some speaker wires, debating whether to keep them or sell.

Is everything ok on the Island? I feel like your up late for island life. Civil unrest? To much dark roast at dinner?

So. Power is out in half the neighborhood for 28 hours now. My uncles garage gained a new tree on its roof and a power line draped infront of his house on the road that none has even come to block off. He had to block it off and he still has idiots drive over it and arcing it.

NIPSCO sent 200 people to help with the huricane. Apparently that leaves us with 25 (not sure really but it seems so!) people to do all the repairs from the 70-90mph winds last night.

Our house has power. It’s the other leg that’s dead. We let some neighbors bring all their frozen goods over in their own freezers in the garage so it doesn’t all go bad. Lol 5 freezers sitting in my garage from neighbors just so their shit doesn’t go bad!

I & my neighbors lost power last Tuesday. Got it back on Friday at noon & I was one of the early restorations. Some still without (6,700+).
guess I need to get my generators running before winter.
I was lucky, city water, city gas - so I had plumbing, warm water & cooking. $150 to restock the fridge. :-(

Yeah. I’ve been taking it easy dreaming up new ways to drive nutters even more crazy than they have been lately. Burning the late oils last night with a new scheme development program. :D
