I’m gonna have to do a better check but I’m pretty sure there isn’t a way in. There are a few quarter / halfdollar size slots but further away from that area... that would be ideal. To sneak in a nut and somehow get it threaded

Not sexy stuff like double rez shocks or beefy leaf packs.
Tested the T-5 prongs (reverse attempted also) and no light. Decided to button her up before mangling something not worth the risk. Might need one of your magic bulbs from the collection. :D

A side success, to offset bulb failure, is that the drivers side switch for the pass side window is not sticky anymore. The clean up and electric grease helped.

Moved the engine ground up to the manifold. Was doing some reading on shared grounds this morning and it made me move it from that located OEM spot from the other day where the main harness has a small ground wire lug.

A bummer for sure. I'll get to work on that spare switch for you when I get some free-time.

Do you want white, or blue to match your dash?

How about we "trade" the switches so the LED wealth can be spread to the next guy, or gal who wants one?

Once I get yours done I'll send it to you, and eat the shipping cost to you if you agree to send me your old switch so I can do the same with the next switch? You eat the shipping cost to me. This helps the community.

Good idea, but I’ll pass not because I don’t want to help. I appreciate the offer and will stay the course with what I have. I’m tired of all this electrical work.

Maybe someone else will take you up? I hope!

It would only be this piece, but ya know cleaned, greased, assembled, and whatever color led I have available soldered in.

3 philips screws, one connector and you're done. PNP OEM.

I had the same thing happen on my drivers side front, I was able to get my hand in there to hold the nut while I tightened it until it would hold enough to crank it down. I didn't have to do that on the rear so don't know how hard that one is.

You're going to get some serious rubbing especially on the mudflaps; mostly when the suspension compresses. If you can wait for the lift I would.

Copy. I was looking at that. I gotta drive it to shop about 80 miles away. I removed mud flaps yesterday because i felt that would be an issue.

If it's just a drive to the shop, you should be fine. It's only plastic you'll be rubbing on (assuming proper wheel offset)

Depends how much turning you'll do :D

Depends on the tire and wheel combo as well. Probably won't be doing any u turns and be real careful going up driveways.

Better to wait if possible, I wouldn't have concerns about the tires "finding" areas to trim, but the hard body areas cutting into your tires.

Copy. I am running stock rims that came on the 2006 sr5. If when driving from tire store to house i notice it rubbing ill just tow it to shop. Drive is 95% freeway north to south.

On stock rims you might rub upper arms on tires even with lift. Most of the stock rims have aggressive backspacing, more than 4.5" worth. I have seen a few guys get away with it but a lot of guys don't. Depends on the tire because some sidewalls will buldge more than others on a rim that skinny.

A set of 1.25" hub centric wheel spacers will solve that.

Put about 250 miles on the truck today driving on an Isthmus and back. Smoooovvvv driving. Sad to see many of the smaller country business shut down and closed forever since the coronavirus.

Came back into 3” of rain on the way home. Put her in 4HI like @Pucks18 suggested and she did do better with the ponding! Never had her in 4HI at 55mph.

Feels like every wheel is glued to the pavement. Also eats gas. But feels good.

I never thought I'd do something like this but I'm thinking about "greying out" the emblem to match the wheels. I know most people black it out but I think that might look real good.

Will look nice! I’ve thought of doing the same if my body color wasn’t a close match to the wheels. Yours being blue will be sweet!
