    Hey fellas,

So I just put in an order for the Yakima Overhaul HD truck racks along with the sidebars. I am mounting them with the factory deck rail system and yakima adapters. My dilemma is this... do I need the long side bars or the short side bars? I have the 5.5 ft bed.

A Rep at Yakima told me that the long sidebars would work however reps at etrailer told me it wouldn't work. Any of yall have experience with this rack and its sidebars?

Also, since they are mounting to the deck rails, I won't be mounting the racks using the full length of the bed... right? lol

    Take care and stay healthy!

Did you ever figure this out. I'm about to pull trigger myself.

    Hey!

Yes I did. So I have the factory deck rail system and the racks mounted to them. I got the short bed sidebars and have the actual racks mounted as far apart as possible. The short bed sidebars have more play, I highly doubt the long bars will fit unless you don't have the factory deck rail system but even then, the short side bars would have enough extension. Hope that helps!!

No tips it's relatively easy to install. If anything, some music, a beer, and free time would be the best pointers! Haha. As for accessories, I feel like there are too many to choose from but whatever suits your setup and needs. Pictures when you're done!

What length of crossbars do you have? I am stuck between a medium and large?
