I have only tried using Iron X a few times, but each time, it starts drying coming in from the edges in less than a minute. The instructions say to leave on for around 2-5 minutes.

I am located in Colorado, so very low humidity. I am applying it in the morning to a dry car after washing, in the shade. Temps are in the low to mid 70s.

Am I doing something wrong? I am not applying a very light coat, but not heavy enough to run when applied to vertical surfaces. Seems like it wouldn't be doing it's job as good if it dries too fast.

Don’t apply to a dry car. I apply right after 1st wash rinse. Then usually let it sit a few then rinse, clay with speed then quick wash and finally dry. Ironx is awesome I find this technique to work great for me

Keep the truck wet after washing. I had this issue and I just scaled down how much of the truck I sprayed at one time. It takes longer to get it done but doesn't let it dry.

I might wet the box after washing and spray iron x and don't move until that section has worked its magic and hose it off

Agreed. Keep it wet while it’s working. I usually keep misting the paint while I wait.

I was thinking that having the paint wet would dilute it too much. I have been doing one panel at a time, so hopefully this will do the trick, thanks!

Do you usually just let it sit there, or do you kind of work it around with a wet microfiber cloth once it is applied?

I let the product do it’s thing I don’t touch it. Having it wet doesn’t effect the way it works seems to help actually like war said you can do a slight mist on it to keep it damp.

It did ok for me today in MD. It was mildly humid but it seems have removed some junk!

That’s not too bad. Looks like it didn’t have a ton of decontamination in it. Did you clay also, or just IronX?
