I have a Super White DC with the SX package (side badges removed, power seats, black wheel, color matched bumpers/grill). Since it’s not TRD or anything, most people have no idea what the big red and black “SX” on the side means. I think I’d rather just remove it.

I’m sure it’s as easy as just letting it get hot and applying more heat with a blow dryer and start peeling. Am I missing anything?

Start with low heat to begin with. I didn't know what an SX model was until the other night. What was the price on yours? They have one coming here in 3 weeks but its expensive.

I think it's just a poor marketing attempt by Toyota for another badge truck.

It’s the price of a standard SR5 plus $1,655 for the SX Package. Distributor added $2,161 in added options and dealer added their crap for another $1,800 more or less. So the window sticker went from $40,656 to $42,702 (which is stupid!).

I think if it were available in a few more colors it might have caught on. I like the solid one piece back window, I never used the slider in my 16. If I had bought in 2019 I’d have picked one up, but Toyota added a bunch of upgrades to the 20 that I went with a TRD Sport this time around to avoid dealing with all the de chroming

I got it for 34,300. Love the truck and the fact that it’s all blacked out. I took the SX decals off. Very easy peel, needed very little heat.

$34,300? With your trade in? With money down?

From the others posts and my own experience the SX’s are $42-44k...

so you talked them down $8-10k ofd MSRP?

there’s a lot of confusion on “out the door” price, or maybe it’s just me. Sale tax, fees, etc. included or no?

I'd personally remove the sticker, as it stands out a bit too much for my tastes, but I'm sure some people like that. Might also be a conversation piece when people see it if you're a social person :)

I was looking for a used Tundra, have always bought used because Toyota is just an amazing vehicle.
Dealer had an ‘18 DC TRD 4x4 OR with “18k miles” (I think it was lifted with big tires) for $35k. Truck was rough. Uggh! Looked at their new inventory and saw the SX. They must have wanted to make a sale. Without me even trying they dropped $5k off msrp of $39,300. No trade in. Sold my ‘02 Tundra TRD OR with 188k to my neighbor for $4,100. Of course I still had TTL, etc.

    Good looking truck!
I felt the same way about the "TRD" decal.
    For years I would drool over any Tundra that went by. I liked everything about them;
except that ugly "TRD" decal on both sides. Told myself, "If I ever get a Tundra...those decals are comin' off!"
Knowing I would only buy one when I could pay cash and get a fair trade-in (we live debt free), I bought my 2015 SR5 TRD in August 2018 with only 19,700 miles on it.
    Was ecstatic.
Got it home and a few days later took off the decals with a hair dryer...no regrets...
    CHEAP MOD! ha ha
Your SX decal looks better than the TRD decal IMHO but I understand you, dude....

Took my TRDSports 4x4 decals off with eraser wheel. Easy peasy and like the look much better. Just my .02.

awesome! Congrats. Sorry if that sounded condescending... lots of posts are like “$15k out the door” and it’s misleading cuz they put 40k down payment/trade in .

sounds like a great deal. I was able to wiggle 5k off the MSRP on my ‘21 CM SX 4x4.

Great truck! I kept my SX sticker on...

It’s the easiest thing to come off. A little bit of heat and your fingernail to get it started.

I did it with the heat from the sun lol.

Congrats on the truck. Killer deal.

I paid 43 for CrewMax 4x4 SX in FL.

Most dealers don’t have but a few tundras in stock

That SX decal looks better than the TSS decal on Tundras down here.
Also it seems 90% of the Tundras around DFW have the TSS decal, I don't want my truck to look like all the rest of them...

I removed my TSS decal the day after I bought my truck home.
Along with the Tundra and SR5 badges..

Felt the same way. Why add a decal when you debadge the rest of the truck. Off with the decal.

47k (46,9) for my 21’ SR5 XSP/ leather Pkg. I also contemplating peeling off the XSP stickers. I should do it soon before the paint fades.

Now I need to figure out what the heck an XSP is. Had never even heard of them. I recently learned about the TSS...wonder which others I know nothing about... :monocle:

Oh right! Sorry, I now remember hearing they did regional packages. I will have to read up on all of the. Thanks for clarifying.
