I gave my new Tundra its first proper wash last night and was testing a cheap foam cannon out to see if it is as good or better than the high dollar jobs. Check it out!

Looks to do a fairly good job. I do not have or use a foam cannon, I may have to finally get one.

    Thanks for the video!

so after you use the foam cannon do you still go over the vehicle with a foam pad or mitt and wash it or is the foam supposed to do that for you?
    Thanks

You still have to wash it. The cannon just applies the soap and let it soak since the foam sticks to the surface, making it easier to wash.

I think the cheap ones work just as well as a more expensive one. The type of soap and how/if you dilute it is more important to get a good sticking soap.

That was what I thought coming out of it. I think there are better performing soaps than what I used. Would love to hear what soaps you guys have had a good foam experience with.

I think so however I would prefer to have an electric power washer of the same PSI. Just dont like all the noise.

Just remembering that they require a pressure washer. Not as interested again.

Is there on that just hooks up to the hose? Probably not :(

I have a small electric pressure washer that I use for washing the cars. I am using it to clean the underside, wheel wells and wheels anyways, so plugging in the soap cannon is no extra effort.

It's been working really good for the cars, around the back porch/lanai etc. I have a gas pressure washer for the heavy duty jobs, but almost never use it anymore.

I have the same pressure washer as @Boerseun and it works great for washing vehicles. Mine is going on 6 years old and I use it for the vehicles, concrete patio, lawn furniture, siding, etc. They also have a foam cannon attachment for it.

I got an inexpensive cannon from Lowes when I purchased one of their greenworks 2000 psi electric washers. Both work like a champ. I have only used meguiars gold class wash, but performance is good. There are much better soaps out there that will be slicker and have more foam, but they also cost 2x more.

I have an expensive foam cannon (Torq) and inexpensive pressure washer (ryobi) and it gets the job done very well.

I have a decent pressure washer and a $20 Amazon foam canon. It does fine by my standards

I've been very happy with it.

Ok I am running Green Works 1500. Don’t think it has quite enough pressure. Waiting for GW to die so I can replace it. Bastard won’t die!

Great video! I’ve been using a twenty dollar MATCC cannon from Amazon for three years now with no issues. I’ve tried a couple of the more expensive ones and couldn’t tell a difference. Definitely not a product you need to spend a lot of money on.

I use Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam in mine and it works great. It’s not my go to soap for normal washes, but works better than anything else I’ve tried in the foam cannon.
    I use a Greenworks electric pressure washer. I believe it’s a 2200 psi.

Chemical Guys Honeydew is my favorite.

I use hot water in my mixture. I find it helps make more foam and it’s not as runny.

I drag the pressure washer out every time any way unless doing a rinseless wash.

I second @War Machine’s recommendation of CG honeydew. It makes great foam! Mr Pink from them is a very close second too.

Yup...me too. It smells good too. Warm water in canon and warm water in my soap bucket if I'm wash mitting it.

Yup...me too. Pressure washer sits in front of Tundra and I just move the hose around to wash. It's on wheels and not like I have to carry it on my back.

About the only time I use it is to wash the vehicles. If I didn't pull it out for that, I may as well sell it

Great video. I’m not a foam cannon user but I can appreciate them. I do use a sunjoe electric pw almost every wash it is just easier then dragging out the gas one. I really want a comet installed on the garage with a sediment filter on the intake.
