Hey guys, I have been a lurker for a little while and decided to go ahead and create an account and post what I have.

    My name is Daniel

So like the title says it's a 2010 Sequoia Platinum in Nautical blue with the tan and brown? Interior. I have never seen brown interior on one of these but I believe this one to have it. Pics for proof included.

It has the wood grain instrument surround which I wasn't a fan of at first but it has really grown on me.

I bought the car used to replace a 2011 limited 4wd that got rear ended by someone texting while driving.

Besides cosmetic there isn't much in the mod department yet. I have plans, but I also have 4 girls so those plans can and will probably change.

    I also own a 2004 4runner 4wd with the v8. Which I love.

    Mods
    - led interior lighting everywhere
    - Spyder headlights
    - led fog light bulbs (yellow)
    - led head light bulbs (bright white)
    - TRD pro grill in black (thanks to my lurker status I saw that it was up for order)
    - black mirror caps should be arriving today
    - TRD skid plate should be here next week

That's pretty it for now. Future plans will be some A/T tires once the ones on it need to be replaced.
I want to get the TRD pro running boards once you can order those as well as the trd pro roof rack.
I would like to get the TRD pro wheels when I do the tires but we will see what happens.
I would also like to install see kind of Android auto car stereo in the future but im not sure what I want yet.

    That's about it.

Looks great. I like the blue. How many miles on it?

Hang on to that 4Runner! I sure wish I would have....

It only has 84k on it! I couldn't believe it when I saw it, the paint, and interior look almost new. There aren't even rock chips on the hood. The windshield looks new. It had 79k when we bought it.

It was definitely babied before I bought it. The 4runnner has close to 200k on it but I have no problems with it. My wife mostly drives that one and I mostly drive the Sequoia since I haul all the kids on a daily basis.

BTW, the skid plate isn't too tough to install. Just make sure you follow the directions (it is easy to put things on incorrectly) and also put some sort of foam or rubber between the plate and the frame towards the back....oh, that's is you bought this one.IMG_7857.jpgIMG_3921.jpg

Looks amazing. How were you able to keep the headlight washers with the spyder headlights? Are they still functional?
    Thanks!

Unfortunately, no. Our last one was and honestly I never used it. So we figured the money we paid for this one, coupled with the low miles and amazing condition it was just too good to pass up.

Besides I still have my 4runner for fun stuff. Pic of my wife being silly while in crossing a creek.

Thanks! I saw the one you got and almost pulled the trigger but I actually like the surround for my car. And yes, that's the skid plate I ordered.

Okay, so you have to drill into the bottom of the headlights to retain use of the washers. I used an 1/8" flat piece of aluminum to mount to the bottom of the headlights and to the washer. It took a bit of trial and error but I was able to make it work.

Next time I am working on the front end I will try and take one out and take some pics.

I recommend the pioneer NEX head units which have both android auto and CarPlay. Mine is the 4400NEX which has wireless CarPlay which is probably my favorite mod to date! I know some people say that they don't have the resolution and features like the 10" Chinese ones but I can say that it is consistent and reliable....which is much more important in my book. Plenty of info about all options on this site to make an informed decision though, thats for sure!

Nice ride, Daniel! My 08 is the same color as yours. I've been looking for the grill you purchased. Would you happen to still have the link or ordering information?

Beau, got a link to the TRD skid plate? Would love to grab one for my 2018 Platinum. Also, interested to see your headunit and hear if you maintained all of the bells and whistles when you swapped it out for the factory unit (backup camera/steering wheel controls, etc.).

It came off of a brand new Tundra TRD pro that the guy lifted and changed the wheels on. My wife found it on FB marketplace for me. As for the headhunt, it hasn't given me a lick of trouble. As I believe I stated somewhere (and others have stated as well) it is a little laggy outside of the CarPlay app which is no issue for me bc mine stays in the CarPlay app exclusively. All the factory options work correctly and the ptt button engages Siri. One downside is that this model doesn't have backup lines but the 4500nex which replaces it does. Overall, I love it, however, I've been envying the new 9-10" models recently released but can't justify moving away from this one.

I have a Pioneer CarPlay (buttonless) DD touchscreen in my 2003 Double Cab Tacoma. Most functional upgrade I made to that vehicle. I looked at all the NEX models and the 10" screens don't fit our vehicle according to what I'm seeing online. The slightly smaller 8"-9" do, but I'm struggling with a what dash kit to buy. I need to upgrade this bs factory system soon before I go crazy.
