i use to buy those cheaper LEDs like that one when i was in highschool. But one just like that actually ended up burning my friends car to the ground!

ever since then its been sylvania (their festoon bulbs suck) and philips (their festoons are good)

Festoons are the bulbs used in out map and dome light FYI

Whelp. My tundra was in its first fender bender last night! Nothing major.

My wife went to pick up some noodles for dinner and she backed into a pole. Rear bumper is dented, looks easy enough to fix. So much for the reverse camera. lol

Sorry about that happening. You can buy a relatively cheap bumper from big gurlll

I don't remember if yours was chrome or color matched.

Either way here is a link if its a really big dent, and bugs you.

Sorry man. Love to see the how to if you actually get the dent pounded out.
Those back up cameras on your vehicle are worthless if the pole (hydrant...) don't have one too - they'll get you every time. :anonymous:

Got mine for $194.99 from Summit Racing (+9.99 ship) and it's good quality, thick. I was shopping around Thanksgiving, they always have sales around major holidays. Then I think I used the THANKS coupon code to take another $20 off? This is the one I bought. You can see pics of it at the link inside my signature. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/BDY-TO1102229V

With the brighter one it was casting shadows to the front of the vehicle, I think it probably would've driven you nuts anyway. Notice how the passenger seat has a big shadow in front of it.

Thanks guys. It is not biggy. I think I can take a hammer and some wood and pound it out.

I got Mine from Amazon... they sent it with the wrong brackets though. So they refunded me and told me to keep it? Made no sense to me. But hey, $40 brackets later and I’m 80 Into a stock replacement bumper

Nice! AMZN supposedly keeps a list of items which would cause loss if returned.

Like, I bought this parking tie back in 2012. Ended up arriving and was much lighter than advertised, worthless for my needs, I needed one of the heavily rubberized units, or something solid plastic, this one was hollow. I ended up web-chatting to a CS rep at Amazon to setup return because their website wouldn't show this with a Return option. CS rep told me to keep it, credited me fully. The item cost me $45. When I asked how that makes sense, he said for the product size, shipping w/2-day Prime, they would've eaten a buck or two on shipping and they can only sell in their Outlet at reduced price if it's an open-box. He mentioned they also do this for high-risk items which have a high rate of damage on return when the customer re-packs.

I've had similar with lightweight stuff. Ordering small chintzy stuff, it gets here, doesn't meet expectation and get full credit without return. Wouldn't be surprised if there's a website out there with items like that. I'm sure they'd flag your account if you did this more than once or twice per year though.

I’ve got a pristine rear bumper off a 06 DC that you can have if the brackets will line up?

Damn, that's a hell of an offer!

@robabeatle you're looking at same damage I had with mine. Taking that horizontal crease out helped pop the steel out more, but mine was painted to match as part of that package, so ... all the paint chipped. Hitting along that ridge with a wedge (I found wood wouldn't do it, steel wedge + BFH required) may get you in a better spot.

Damn man. Thanks for the offer. I am going to run to dent busters to get a quote. If it is too much $, let's talk more about that 06 bumper.

    Cheers!

That's what I was told too. Wish I took a pic of it, but it happened a long while ago before I got photo crazy. Line up in that spot and it was a pain in the ass. I took it off and pounded it while off the bumper brackets, No dice. OEM bumper is too thick.

That's nicely optioned. Intersting about the CK, my truck also has that but doesn't mention the battery, alternator, starter. I wonder if it wasn't included with CK package once they reached 2006.

Could be! I haven't checked. When my alternator caught fire last year, I didn't have time to deal with it and told the only mechanic I trust in town to swap it out with the higher output Denso unit. We didn't bother to see what it came with in the first place, but now I wish I had.
