Cigars

I smoked ciggeretts back when they were .55 cents a pack, but never partook in cigars. So, when smoking a cigar, how often, if ever, do you inhale?I can t imagine inhaling every drag.

 

I do not inhale. I’ve done so and turned green and puked

I’ve never smoked cigs so maybe it impacts me more, but I do not inhale.

You do not inhale. You are simply drawing the smoke into your mouth to taste. Then exhaling. You can also force some of the smoke through the sinuses as you exhale known as retrohaling.

 

Thanks...I credit my new Samsung phone for the quality. No fishing today. Just smoking and pondering. This part of the river flows too fast anyways. I also hear the water quality isn't too good. I'm not the most avid fisherman

 

Just finished of a Kentucky Fire Cured, felt like I was sitting near the campfire. Sorry no pick but I thoroughly enjoyed it just the same

Sitting here with the wife enjoying a little jack and coke while smoking this master blend and yes she enjoys a puff on the turd now and then as well. I’m a lucky guy.

I got throat cancer just reading this thread. Never could understand the lure of these things.

 

Drew Estates....Liga Privada's is always stellar....Tatuaje is another great line of cigars..
Crowned Heads, Krisoff's, Arturo Fuente's is my go to smokes....Don Carlos, Hemingway, short story, Opus X's....solid and true....Salute

 

Enjoying a La Gloria Cubana after a day of fly fishing Kelly Creek in Idaho.
I just returned from an almost month long road trip where I smoked at least 8 cigars. That is a ton for me.
By the way, my Tundra worked flawlessly.
My favorite was the above mentioned La Gloria, and I'm anxious to try some of their other cigars as well.
For a more mild cigar I really enjoyed the Rocky Patel Vintage 1999.
I'm kinda a newbie to cigars and for the first time I encountered significant variability within the same cigar type. I started smoking a Romeo and Juliet 1875 and it wouldn't draw at all. I lit up a different 1875 and there was a night and day difference...very interesting, but I guess not totally unheard of considering they are made by hand.
These things are definitely addicting. I'm going to have to be careful

 

Smoking a cigar in the morning with coffee is one of my favorite things.

 

Rather than go through this whole thread to potentially not find my answer...Are you guys still not able to get Cuban cigars? I thought Obama did something about that? Would it be rude to post pics of me enjoying a Partagas Serie D No. 4 and a Dream to Dram? I happen to have a few at home

 

I like a mild smoke and espresso with my local newspaper on a sunday morning. I'm still in my 30s but damn - I get it!

 

If you get the chance try a My Fathers and Perdomo 25 Anniversary, last but certainly not least a Padron 1964.

Thanks Rush....always up for a fine smoke and bourbon.....You recall a event at Cigar International every year (Cigarfest) Buddy and I went in 2016, and had a blast....Killer time, killer smokes...the year Ray Lewis showed off his Rocky Patel Legends 52....just ok smokes...anyway, bucket list event....Salute.

 

Hell ya, I was there that year as well. Find it harder and harder each year getting tickets to the event. Been there twice and I agree it’s crazy but a lot of fun. Here is the one box I got during that time.

 

Which brick and mortar do you shop Seth? Gettysburg Cigar or Union Cigar? I usually go to Gettysburg Cigar. Get a kick out of Gary and Judy. Both hippies from a time long gone. Judy actually attended the original Woodstock and can tell stories. Maybe see you around sometime. Take care brother

 

Both at times, but find a better selection at RYO in Hanover....I use Cbid religiously...better deals and if you don't win, next time..no big deal...Salute

I just smoked one of those last night. It is a good cigar! The sweetened tip caught me off guard though. But once that lightened up I really did enjoy the cigar.

 

I got that shock as well. Ended up having to fight my wife over it. I was told the next time buy two!
