While I was repairing the downspouts at the back of the house today I found this guy hibernating under one of the plastic splash guards.
    Pretty cool
He moved just a little but stayed there while I worked then I covered him back up

LOL. I just realized you could have gotten me real good with my quote. :p Ok, I meant snakes less than 7 feet long. I had a few snakes, longest was a boa that got to about 8 feet long, 7 inch diameter. Had to feed him guinea pigs and occasionally rabbits. Got so heavy I couldn't get him out of his tank. Had to release him in the Everglades. Nah, just kidding. Had to pay the snake store $200 just to take him back. They're fun, but I know now, pet boas and pythons don't belong in this country.

I had to fight the urge SO HARD not to get you good....but had to make it SFW......plus....I'm at work so.....I concluded it was in my best interest not to follow through with my base (and funnier) instincts. Damn you common sense!!
Yeah I've heard stories about idiots buying pythons and boas and once they get too big, they just dump them in the glades. Seriously??

growing up in La, all I ever saw was water moccasins, and let me tell you, it didn't make me any more comfortable around any kind of snake. I don't give a damn what kind it is...I turn into a little girl at just the sight of one. To me a snake is a snake and I don't want to be near it. LOL To think when I was a kid I used to water ski in the river with those things nested all along the shore. And all my dad would say is "make sure you don't go near the bank...fall in the middle" F--- that, wouldn't do that now, no way

Yeah, I had my boas over 20 years ago. Back then snakes in the wild wasn't a problem like it is now. I thought about releasing mine but I was more worried it might kill a small child.

And that's why I carry a knife no matter what I do or where I go!!

I'm with you on the skiing on the bayou....now I'd rather wakeboard LOL

Fell near the bank once as a teen about ten feet from a gator. Freaked the living crap out of me, thank God that thing wasn't hungry or he'd have had some Law fritters. LOL
