    Need your help fella tundrans.

Thinking to install back up camera on 08 tundra and studying the YouTube link below.

Dirty pic is yours truly, clean pic is from a screen shot from youtube.

Does the 08 comes pre wired for a back up camera? These plug connectors looks identical.

    What's your thought?

A lot of them do come pre wired for the camera. That looks like the correct plug
The plug is kind of towards the passenger side of the truck pined to the under bed rail area and you have to remove I think 6 screws from the over head consol to expose the wire harness tucked up in the headliner. Hope that helps
I just installed mine a couple of weeks ago was pretty easy

Boombastic and about to check... is it all plug and play into the prewiring? I did find it on Ebay.....seems like its a go.....more difficult to park now that I have the 6 inch lift kit installed.

Yup hardest part was fishing the wire through the tailgate lol easy plug and play the overhead console is a bit tricky some of the screws are hidden you have to pop off the map light covers to get to them there torx screws take the rearward ones off first then work forward the console kinda drops down in the back then slides out towards the rear it has 2 prongs in the front that need to be slid out then just reverse the process
the plug is towards the driver side up inside the head liner

One more question. Does the head liner separate from the windshield after the console is removed, or you had to fish through also?

You can just fish the wire in between the headliner and the roof, there is even the cover that covers the wire that you kind of wedge between the mirror anchor button and the headliner so you don't see the wires once your all done fishing it through it is, pretty easy mirror is held on with a torx screw as well

The brown van showed up today. How much time should I put aside to do this surgery?

Ok. Am a bit under the weather and had planned on driving toy(undra) to work tomorrow.

I watched the YouTube video a few times and wanted to tackle the easier side first ( uncertain which one is).

    Always appreciate your feedback.

    Will postpone.
