Had to fab up some brackets to relocate the stock horns so the new horn and hardware would fit.

You wouldn't by chance have the link to those D rings would ya?
I'm having a hell of a time finding a set with thick enough isolators like those to stop the back and forth clanging...

    Budget stereo build.
I listen to metal, and this package hits perfectly. Even my wife who listens to rap and hip hop digs it. Super happy with the results. Not winning any sound competitions, but it’s absolutely awesome for me.

I found a sub/amp kit on Amazon for $225. Everything else was purchased through Crutchfield. My total combined was under $800, including all extra wiring, harnesses, friction tape, heat shrink, solder, and sound deadening mat. The Alpine KTP-445U is made to plug and play without running new wires to the speakers or for power. I purchased this first, thinking I wouldn’t need a subwoofer. Well, that changed so I grabbed the sub kit, costing me a little more, actually but hey, I’ve never done this before.

Alpine KTP-445U for the door speakers
Boss 1100M amp for the subwoofer
    LC2I line converter
Rockford Fosgate R2S shallow 12” sub
Hertz K170 6 1/2” speakers in 4 doors with included tweeters
Made my own amp rack using 1/2” mdf, with rear feet to allow a/c venting, attaches to factory amp mount.

    Showing the retrofit.
These projectors are just the Acme H1 kit from The Retrofit Source. When they fade, they’ll get cracked open again with a new setup. They have sequential turns, but I think I’m gonna ditch those when they get updated with a little different paint scheme on the Porsche quad lights.

    The retrofit/color matched tails
I got these tails off ebay about two years ago, they still work great, after changing the resistors once. Disassembled and color matched, tinted the LED bars, and installed some chase lights inside.

Placed main controller under the rear seat, and ran all wires across the rear seat and along frame rails. One light in each fender, one on each side step facing the opposite aide of the truck, one in the grille, one on the crossmember below the driveshaft facing forward. 4FBCDFDF-EF51-45D3-9A00-A4CC7ADCA108.jpg 504E0471-F57A-400A-BD51-F1CF66191B1E.jpg F2D67581-57A8-48FD-B32F-F4B2AA4E2F0D.jpg

How do you like the Falkens? How many miles on them? Think I have narrowed down to those or the Ridge Grapplers

I have Ridge Grapplers now. The Falkens were fantastic. Nice and quiet, lots of grip, and great offroad. The grapplers seem to be exactly the same, just noticeably louder.

good to hear. That may help push me over the edge in favor of the Falkens. I love the look of the RG, but the reality is that the truck will spend 80% of its time on pavement. A large bit of the other time is on job site with plenty of heavy iron to recover me if I get stuck. The times I’m in the woods is usually with the family, and I am way more careful about where I go that I used to be.

    loving your build. Looking good.
