I am by no means an engineer or knowledgeable about these kinds of things. BUT the one thing that sticks out to me is the thickness of the face plate that covers Each of the sensors. The AJT is much thicker than the jomax. I am
Wondering if that has anything f to do with it. I have even thought about using the ajt mount (I think it fits nicer and leaves less adjustment) and the Jomax face plate to see if that would work

Agree on the thickness. I’ve read people having issues with upgrading to the newer TRD Pro grille and using an after market TSS garnish/cover (bc the OEM one costs big $$$). Some covers work better than others and it seems to be the thickness of the cover is the difference. Makes sense at least...

Mine did it randomly and it turned out to be the front sensor that had water intrusion. Once they replaced the sensor no more problems. I could see what appeared to be water by the discoloring of the Toyota emblem around the edges.

It depends how long you had your battery disconnected. If it was awhile it will take some time to “recalibrate”. Are you sure the lights or a wiring harness aren’t in the way?

Old question, but disconnecting the battery shouldn’t make the light come on and stay on. I’ve disconnected my battery a few times and it didn’t come on. I haven’t read about that happening to anyone else either.

So the dealer just "Highly recommended" that I do the Toyota recall on my sensor. Now the f**ken yellow "OFF" light is always lit & I have NO Cruise control. Not even the standard Cruise. WTF TOYOTA? I told the dealer prior to doing the update that I want radar cruise so don't do it if it deactivates that feature. I had not had any problems with the system previously. He told me that he would show me how to "reactivate" the system after the update. Well guess what? Toyota apparently locked the feature so you canNOT turn it back on. My head is about to explode!:annoyed:

    Alot of them
There is no "highly recommend". There is either a recall that needs to be completed or there is not. Service departments are so damn lazy. I had an alignment done on my 2013 and asked if they did the ZPC. They didn't have a clue what I was talking about. I told them that if they were reading their shop manuals, they would know. Its required on every alignment. These are the same morons that tried to tell me that the 4.6 models didn't come with factory alarms.

Yeah, their service writer "Highly recommended" it. Likely because I had told them no multiple times previously. So Frustrating.

Heading home from the funeral yesterday five hours away These lights on my dash start flashing! Pre-collision system malfunction and Trailer brake error! What the heck I’ve only had this vehicle little over a year. It’s going to take them 2-3 hours to even look at the truck
    Anyone else having this issue?

I have the same issue with my 2020 Limited. Started around 13k miles and it comes and goes without any discernible pattern of events. I am at 17.5k now.. No solution yet. Truck drives great at all speeds with the light show... with no cruise control or BSM. Lights almost always go away with a restart. I have also experienced the lights disappearing shortly after, if they come on with starting the engine.

Planning to take a long drive and go to dealer on Saturday with the hope that the lights come on so dealer can at least try to diagnose the issue.

This is not common, and I hope the dealer can quickly find the cause. Welcome tot he site from LA (Lower Alabama)!

Any other errors? If you had a 4WD and ABS light at the same time it’s likely not related to the pre-collision system.

    Welcome from NY.

My sensor went bad about 1 month ago and was replaced under warranty. I was told they never had another person with this issue.
Hopefully they figure it out quickly. See if they will put another sensor in to see if the problem goes away. Maybe you have a defective sensor also.

Mine came on while driving in some heavy sand down the beach in 4WD. Didn’t have TRAC, etc. disabled so that may have had something to do with it. Reset after key cycle and hasn’t come on since. Only other time PCS has come on was once in heavy rain. Hopefully dealer has your back and it should be covered under warranty.

I have had this happen with snow and even a coat of bugs while driving across the prairies. Wash, wipe and restart.

A general comment: the Toyota pre-collision system is, in my experience, much more resilient than Honda. For example, with the Toyota, if you get a big bug splatter over the camera you can just spray it off and the light will go away. With Honda, you can clean it off perfectly but the system won't restart until the engine cycles off and on again.

Did you happen to swap your grill or install a lift recently? If there was rain or dirt, it could be that as well. Some people have had malfunctions that needed recalibration too. Either way should be covered under warranty unless you changed the grill or installed a lift.....

Probably too many bugs on the sensor or something else silly. Technology is crap, bring back a basic truck and give me a third pedal!

The dealership said it is a recall and it has something to do with the ECU (Engine Control Unit) and the fuel pump. They ordered the part and they gave me a vehicle to drive until it’s fixed
