    Wow! Congrats brother!!
    Thanks Nick!!
Yeah, that's what I keep hearing. Honestly, I'm just hoping I can raise my kids as well as my mom did me! LOL
I have two nephews and one niece (technically, she's my cousins daughter but I have a very close extended family so we consider each other brothers and sisters) not too much longer than me! Wife and I just celebrated our 8 year anniversary a couple of weeks ago! Taking us a while because of my grad schooling and now the wife's!! Would've been too hard both financially and logistically.

You're right about that brother! On the flip side, the wife and I knew we were going to be moving around a lot with her grad school (we've moved a grand total of five times in the past seven years). And I agree, where there is no right time there's a time to NOT do it. I wouldn't want to uproot my kids from their friends and familiar surroundings. The wife and I seriously wanted us to be rooted (which thankfully is going to be the case in a year and a half when we move back to Louisiana with family). Way I see it, we've lived in three different states, four different cities and got to see the entire east coast and mid U.S., along with some of Europe. We had our fun and we can tell our kids stories and bring them to "where momma and daddy lived before you were born". Not to say one way is better than the other. Guess it depends on your mindset.

Raising your kids is really about the only thing you can do in this life that lasts and matters in my opinion. My older son has 4 great kids and is a construction superintendent. My younger son is a combat veteran and works for the BLM in cartography. Makes me proud. Everything else we do will turn into dust

Raised em both in a rural town hunting and fishing, gardening and canning making jerky fixing things that need it and getting by without stuff you don't really need. Not much fear in either of em and they are tougher than my anvil.

Did you know the Tooth Brush was invented in Tennessee?

If it would have been invented in any other state it would have been called a teeth brush!

How do you know when you're in California?

Not funny. But living here is like living in a bowl of granola....What's not nuts and flakes is fruits. Now that's funny.

We have committed to spend billions of dollars on high speed rail that will use existing infrastructure, and getting ready to release 10s of thousands of convicted felons from prison. The folks in San Francisco can't figure out how to deal with feces and needles on the streets and there is a lot of talk about splitting the state or secession. The whole freaking state is a joke!

When I was growing up the education system was one of the best in the country, now it is just a brain washing machine. We educate and provide free medical care, and give wic and section 8 housing as well as drivers licenses to folks that jumped the border while others languish in their home countries to get here. We are also fixing to make bi-lingual education mandatory. We can't teach reading, writing, and arithmetic any more, but, we are going to teach in multiple languages? WTF?

God save America as we can't save ourselves.

I'll step down off my soap box now!
