I was working at a Shottenkirk's house in Illinois a few years ago when the guys car I was in got a flat tire.

It was an odd Ford Hybrid POS that had a mutant size tire and we made a quick call to the Shottenkirk store where we were where they assured us that we would be taken quick care of and be on our way.

We had no Spare either as the Hybrid does not get one, just a can of Fix a Flat and a tiny Pump?
So we drove it a long way maybe 20 miles creeping it into the dealership on the rim.

We were 2.5 hours from where I live and 4 hours from the guys home that I was with too.

We waited and waited and waited at the Ford store before they told us there were no tires for this car in the entire area and it would take them a week to get a replacement tire too?

I called around on my own and found a tire store nearby that had a set of tires that would work and the guy had to buy 4 new tires so we could get back to our homes that day.

    What a Joke!

Our Customers name was the same as the dealer and they could not help us and didn't seem too bothered by the whole thing either.

It sounds like they will say or do just about anything to get people in the door, crazy!

Hey 316KS_TUNDRA: For some reason I got an email about your post, but your post is not showing up in the forum.
I was looking at the 2018 Quicksand Tundra Limited with 9000 miles.
The 2016 TRD Pro is now listed at $41K, but I would expect they would add over $5000 or $6000 to that one. I have read on Google that they also have an "internet fee" of $1500 that they like to tack onto some of their deals. But it seems like the bait / switch - jack the price scams are only applied to the USED vehicles. People have said they are getting good deals on new vehicles.

I appreciate the offer, but I believe I have a solid deal on one from Arizona. I also do not want one dollar of my money going to Shottenkirk, even on a "dealer to dealer" transfer. I would rather watch them have to keep marking it down and take a BIG hit on it. Kind of makes me smile to think of that happening!
