    Hello all,

I am about to install some 6112's next week and have been researching the install. I did the lift on my 3rd gen 4runner and a friends 2nd gen taco but never had to loosen the LCA's to fit the coil-overs. I have searched everywhere to try and confirm which side of the LCA bolt/nut needs to be loosen to get them to swing down a bit. I have seen some say loosen the nuts facing the inside of the LCA, some say loosen the Cam bolts facing the outside, and some say the Cam bolts don't budge. I was hoping someone could point out exactly what needs to be loosen on the LCA to get them to swing down, maybe even with a picture so I don't waste an hour trying to figure it out. I appreciate any help on this, thanks!

The nut preferably since there's less loosening torque to back it off, but I went after which ever nut/bolt side would spin. Mark both sides for reference then go ham. Did it for all 4. It doesn't really matter, just need the whole thru bolt to loosen so the LCA can swing down a bit. If neither nut/bolt side will loosen then you know you're gonna be SOL at your alignment anyways.

Loosen the ones facing forward on both. They are 24mm and torqued to around 207 ft lbs, that's probably why some people have a hard time to loosen. A breaker bar will help. And yes don't forget to mark them as a point of reference when you tighten back up. But you will still need alignment after. Good luck

Always loosen nuts first, less breakaway torque required to do so. Keep in mind even when you take the nut off, the bolt may be seized or the actual sleeve for the cam can get seized in the bushing as well. This is unfortunately common on Toyota 4x4's. This happened to me and i'm going to have to actually cut the bolts. Best of luck
