Fabbed up some Redundant Grounds out of some scrap Copper laying around in the name of Wurrld Peas. Discovered the Grounding Bracket behind the pass side valve cover was a little loose. I tightened the wire clamp bolt last year, but didn’t realize there was a bracket which it was attached. Removed the bracket and cleaned up the contacts as they had some corrosion. Lots of work for such a little job due to access tightness between firewall and engine. The Grounding Wire Fab was easy.

@Tundra2 You guys do realize that unless you are getting a bigger filter with the same bypass valve pressure you could potentially starve your engine of oil when cold and or operating temp????????

    Bigger isn’t always better

Also, while at work today I tried to add the hellwig helper leaf spring...my u-bolt nuts are too tight and I have no PB blaster here...guess I’ll have to replace at home instead. I DID however buy a new driver ‘racing seat’. Hugs nicely AND has TWO cup holders to boot!

Yep, that's all I use...cheap and available in OEM Toyota packaging at my local walmart...which is crazy that they carry an OEM part.

Went to denso site, and found part number for my oil filter per them. Denso# 150-2010.

There is no scale for reference, but it appears to be a "mid-size" oil filter. Larger than the Fram PH3614, and smaller than the Fram PH3600.

No local wully wurl action for me. Nearest store that has them is about 1.5 hours from here.

They are now in the parts list I've slowly been generating.

While I was on the denso site I recon'd the plug wire part # to replace my dura-last "oh shit, i have a bad plug wire in the middle of the week" repair from 2-ish years ago.

Edit: will go OEM on the plug wires. My plug wire clippy things for wire routing don't want to clip anymore. OEM part number comes with clippies. Toyota# 19037-62010

Also, the coil packs. I'm sure after 315k that mine are probably worse off than @Professional Hand Model's were per his build page.

Does anyone know what this piece is or who makes it?

It came from my left bed tie-down spot near the tailgate (had to remove for assist strut). Wondered if it was worth selling.

The bigger issue here is he’s running a fram. On my 3.4 I ran a yzzd3 (sane as the 4.7 filter)

It's absolutely brutal here. Been working outside in the 100 degree heat for 5 hours.

-applied a few more coats of primer to the sliders.
    -cleaned frame in preparation.
    -cleaned out AC drain nipple.
-loosened pivot bolt on the UCA's and got in as much grease as I could. Bounced the front in a few times.
-discovered a lot of the bolts on the new bumper had loosened. Tightened them back down.
-drank a pool's worth of water.

I'm shirtless and commando and I'm still too hot. I'm really hoping the squeaking stops.

For an extra $2 a filter you can get these from Big Gurrl. Works out to $5ish each if you buy a 5 pack.

Check your Manual for the V6 filter as I’m not familiar with that Spec. Toy makes a YZZD-1 that is smaller. Both fit my truck, but the 3 is the Spec.

    Blasphemy!

Pretty sure the head unit will always say have "JBL" logo screened into it. You may or may not see it on the amp and OEM speaker grilles, I didn't start seeing JBL logos on the speaker grilles until Gen2 or later (not necessarily on the Tundra though, I recall seeing it on Highlanders though). It may also show up in the Toyota specifications site, which lists all paid factory and port options added to your truck with other details, just punch in your VIN#: https://www.toyota.com/owners/my-vehicle/vehicle-specification

Yep. My OEM alternator croaked in a wild array of sparks, a few flickers of flame, and lots of smoke last October. Luckily it didn't take anything with it. Hopefully the Denso reman replacement lasts that long.

    Looks awesome!

Thanks to @Roman for getting my order processed to fill some odds & ends on the truck, I unpacked got most of what I need to fully upgrade to wood today. I think all I have left at this point is the dash bits and I'm there. I was super stoked the cupholder came as the full assembly with new foams! I just replaced my front foams a few months back.

Hop to get this in over the next day or three.

Ordered up some Engine Bay Tape to finish off the wiring work done in there. I’ll redo some of the other areas I’ve taped with the Super 33 over the last 2 years.

Cupholder will take all of 30 seconds to install, I'm tempted to go do it now but pics suck at night :D

Trouble is work and two kids eat about 16-18 hours a day, so I often need to scrape together minutes to work on bikes and the truck.
