I sounded like something plastic was loose and giggling. But not all the time. What I found was behind the engine the ABS brake lines are held in place by a rubber or plastic brackets. I sprayed the ABS brake line holding brackets with a silicone spray and I haven’t heard that annoying squeak since.

Does it sound like a sharp squeak over bumps? I have the same thing. I've wasted so much time trying to figure it out lol.

What I was hearing was kinda like a crackling sound. It’s hard to describe and yes when driving over small bumps at slower speeds.

Another common place on the 3rd gens is the plastic clips on the upper end of windshield just inside the headliner near the sunvisor , these plastic clips help align the windshield upon installation and sometimes they rub on the glass causing an intermittent squeak or rubbing sound .

I searched, off and on for a few years, for a squeak that one day I found when I reached out the window, and grabbed a hold of the side view mirror s plastic housing. I couldn t believe it was from outside cause it sounded like it was inside the dash somewhere.

Another squeak that took me months to figure out happens over small bumps. The condenser top mount bushings rub against the bolt and squeak. Solution is to put some grease inside the bushing.
