    Is anybody running this set-up?

I know leds are a nuisance in the stock housings due to the glare for oncoming traffic but would the black background of the pro housings reduce/negate the glare?

I know I know.... "get retrofits"

    There. Back on topic.
Anyone have any knowledge/experience with this?

You answered your own question haha.

The reflector is chrome on both the regular Tundra headlights as well as the TRD Pro, that is that part that reflects the light.

The bezel is black on the TRD Pro headlights, which does nothing for the reflecting the light on the road ahead of you.

You are better off running your high beams than buying the LED bulbs in my opinion.

    Retrofit em!!

So it's just the black bezel. Got it. Hadn't seen the pro lights up close in person. And the last one I saw I didn't pay attention. Thanks @MotoTundra !

    No problem brother.

With that being said, have you seen the new Tundra headlights? Instead of a retro these could be a great option if it doesn't require a whole different wiring setup, etc.

They aren't available yet so no pricing (kinda a huge factor) is available.

I haven't read anything or got a professional opinion but to me they look like rear facing LED headlights.

If they are easy to convert, I'm sure as soon as they are available @Roman will be stocking and selling them like crazy.

I did see those. That's definitely a consideration if the price is right. Just trying to get some options lined up.
Retro-ing by @eledobleu looks so crisp clean and professional. Definitely the gold standard, imo. It's just a little more than I'm looking at spending for lights. Which sucks because I'd love to support member businesses. Spyders are out because I want to keep the leveling motors for when I tow my boat. So I don't know. Just happened upon a close-up pic of the pro's and it looked like it was more than just the bezel blacked so I figured I'd see if anyone had tried it.

Gotcha. I believe you can put your leveling motor in the Spyder's, however it's my understanding they are more for looks than performance. You would have to check with guys that have them for their opinion. The projectors in the Spyder's are halogen projectors not designed for HID bulbs, but just like HID in halogen reflector bowls, people do it.
