Water will run out the AC Nipple in the firewall. Stick a cup under it and look at the gookies run out.

Speaking of AC nipple I've been meaning to ask about extending mine away from the frame, and dripping onto ground instead.

One day recently I ran the AC. Parked, and shut her down. The droplets were splashing off frame onto exhaust. Producing boily sounds.

I do not have an extension. Mine drips down on my sway bar bracket. No problems with rust in that area so not a biggie like some others down North might experience.

I’ve seen a write up on doing one, but didn’t take interest in it so didn’t save it. Think its a matter of slipping a 3/8” I.D. Clear Hose with a Zip Tie on the closest brace.

I'll investigate later. Was called into work earlier due to family emergency with one of my co-workers.

Real smart to call the fella an hour away versus the fella 15 minutes away.

Well My hose gun is missing, But I cleaned the blower really good and used a spray bottle with water. After running it for 10 minutes it definitely smelt less dusty. Since Ive done it already, Doing it a second time woth a hose gun will be easy.

Nice. Yeah a hose gun is absolutely necessary for this one. I might do mine again next week since I did miss a few areas around the edges last year. I noticed the truck smelling better during AC season. The air blowing quieter was another observation. I took pics (lost) of the run off I trapped out of the AC Nipple and it was gnar gnar.

Funny you mention that nipple. I was just thinking today that I've never had a vehicle that creates as much AC condensation as my Tundra. The amount of water that comes out is a bit ridiculous.

Not sure where my text with those pictures went?! Here is what I was gonna add with it:

Finally got some new things done on the truck! Me and a buddy (mostly my buddy) built a tube front bumper. Added some lights but I need to get them wired up. Also cleaned the engine bay and debadged it. I definitely liked the badges, but after removing them I think it looks much better. It feels more like my own truck now, and not what all the others look like.

Question about wiring up these lights on the bumper. I have the fog light harnesses from factory that you can see zip tied up. Should I wire directly into those? Or buy the mating harness connector? Also, will these lights come on when I turn on my headlights? Not exactly sure how the fog lights work as Ive never had them even with the original bumper. Thanks guys

Buy the harness connectors, no reason to chop off perfectly good factory ones.

The fogs would be on with your low beams assuming the fog switch is on but shut off when you switch to high beam.

Undecided. The more I think of it I could strip and paint the wheels I have and not bother with fixing the deeper gouges. Then again I got these wheels for free and could sell them for 200, then I'm only really paying $50 for F5s.... fawk.

Thats the way I would do it because you never know what future holds. You may want to go back to a stock bumper one day. If cut your OG connector off you'll be up shit creek on that one.

When I added the light bar I soldered the leads into the load resistors. Not the actual wiring harness. Those are exceptionally hard to find.

I think you'll need one of these if you want a clean OEM look on the dash.

This is what I used on my truck. Expensive, but no wiring for me. Clicked right in.

Yes. I've been contemplating ditch lights also.

Not sure how I would run the wires, tie in, or mount them though. I know there was discussion of it way back when, but its in the thought stage, not the reality stage.

i believe im going with baja designs S1 lights. so i'll fabricate a bracket that screws in to where the mirrors 3 screws are for the pivot joint. should hold fine and i'll run the wires into the mirror with a tiny hole. then fish them through the door to the boot, then out the firewall to the relay under the hood

they dont draw a ton of power so i'll use the last 2 spots in the factory door connector so i can easily remove the door should i need to

That sounds killer. Looking forward to a write up on this job.

I need to figure out the whole "relay thing" for the light bar so I don't burn my truck down. Right now its just tied into High beams.

its going to be just a wee bit longer. I plan on getting a EATON SVEC fuse/relay box and getting that all setup to run the horns and lights and what not. the relays can do 30 amps with fuses and theres also just fused circuits without relays

I believe the main tube that wraps around was 2 inch and the short braces were 1 1/4 inch. I could be wrong so I'll double check when I get home today.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions. Ill definitely be looking into getting those! Those harnesses look perfect and that switch would really be a nice clean look! But yea, definitely pricey!

We cut the old fog light harness off to install my Baja designs pods. I'll likely never go back to OEM bumper but had I known there was an adapter I wouldn't have cut them. It's always nice to keep the factory setup if you can.

Very true! And for the price of that adapter its a no brainer. Already got em in my shopping cart! Ill probably never go back to the original bumper either but yea these adapters look perfect.

Also, I painted the circled areas black on my truck to help them blend in. Might look good on yours too. How did you get the Skid Row plate to mount up to that location? It doesn't normally attach to that bracket.
