I spent some time finding someone who makes or would make me some plug andplay harnesses for my audio upgrade. I did not want to deal with ********* as I have read some nightmare stories, along with some good ones but I wanted to venture out none the less.
Ended up finding this site, then actually being recommended this site from our man @TundraTex .
I spoke with Brian over there and he made me what I needed for a very reasonably price.
He has a lot of harnesses listed for non JBL systems but will make you what you need and provide pinout locations and info.
He made me some plugs and harnesses so I won't have to cut any factory wires when i replace my JBL amp. Great guy to deal with, cut me a deal and his product showed up quickly, 3 days from order.
Anyway if anyone is looking to audio harnesses for their truck definitely hit up Brian over at https://www.autoharnesshouse.com/41112.html let him know you're a member here and Sean and Lou recommended his services.
This could be what a lot of you guys who took place in the tech12volts group buys need to prevent cutting any wires.

@Pudge Can you be a little more specific on the use of the harness? So members who did not partake in the T12V GB, what exactly can this be used for? Thanks. Could be interested if it's something I can use. LOL

I used them for back up camera adapter. And he answered all my emails promptly about how to wire up steering wheel control wires to my android radio. They have great customer service!

The harnesses I got are used to connect an amp to the speakers using the OEM wires that I unplug from the stock JBL amp. If I didn't get these harnesses then I would need to run all new wires from the amp to the speakers or I would have to cut into the factory wiring which I did not want to do.
When I start hooking everything up I will take some pics, but heres one for example, I unplug my OEM JBL amp and plug my harnesses into the "output" aka speaker wire plug that feeds the speakers from the amp, I then take the wires from the new harness and connect them to my new amp.so no running new wires and no cutting.

I have the harnesses for the output side of things to connect my new amp to speakers using the OEM wiring, he also makes a harness for the input side of the amp, which could be used to connect a new amp using high/speaker level inputs, again it eliminates the need to cut factory wiring and the guess work of what wires go to what speaker or what their function it. Well worth it to me. He even sent me a pinout diagram showing me what the wires do and the pins he put them in to make them work.

Ahaaaaa....Gotcha. Thanks, then yes, I'll neeed this eventually. I was thinking this was a way around the DSR1 so I was thrown for a loop.

It could be a way around it if you get the input harness and use it for high level inputs. But you lose the processing capabilities, connectivity and features of the dsr1. For me almost 300 bucks(dsr1) to keep the headunit wasnt worth it. I'd rather have a more capable head unit. I got a kenwood and maestro tr used and head unit from 2015 but its still light years ahead of the JBL entune and it was less than a dsr1.

Ah, so you decided to get the amp and headunit. Definitely worth spending a little more now if you where gonna eventually buy an amp later down the road. That was a good deal on really nice equipment.

Im confused. I still havent installed my amp, been really busy and a little lazy, but I got 2 harnesses with my amp from James. Are these not plugnplay? Im using an aftermarket HU so maybe this only applies if youre using the factory HU?20190410_201141.jpg 20190410_201518.jpg

James at tech12volts actually sells these too. I purchased them from him when I had my Halo9 and replaced my amp.

Those are plug and play. The two output plugs from the factory JBL amp will plug into those and you'll connect the speaker wires coming off those plugs to the new amp you got. Those are the same as the ones I got. And will work for OEM or aftermarket head units.

yes we are the company that originally contacted Bryan at autoharness and had him start making toyota specific harnesses . Another company likes to throw around that their harnesses are manufactured and ours are pieced together. When in fact their harnesses are made in china . Ours are manufactured right here in the USA! Bryan is one of the best harness manufacturers around. He uses quality wire and the same plugs that Toyota uses . What it does not use is sweat shop or child china labor. And that is not me making anything up . If you have not seen what goes on in some of the lower end China build houses it is insane.

Bought my harness from AutoHarness and very pleased.

At the time I got it, did not see this thread.

Highly recommend either James or Autoharness House.

I also bought this harness for the install in my 2008 DC with JBL. Is the 12 pin connector for the dash speakers and the 10 pin for the doors? The pin out that I got looks the same as the one in this thread.

I was referring to the JBL harness from autoharnesshouse.com and the corresponding pin-out Pudge posted. Mainly I'm trying to figure out how to wire my amp and whether I need a additional 2ch. I have your Hertz uno package in the doors and the JLs in the dash. I have a 300 watt 4ch (Memphis MC4.75).

im looking to take out my factory amp and install a smaller skar 4 channel or rf.
basically this plugs into the wires from the factory and will allow me to send the new amp power to the stock speakers replacing the old factory HU?
What if I want to add a subwoofer amp also. I have a LC2i

Just want to make sure im buying the correct thing. I will replace the speakers soon also, but ill run something under 100 watts rms. Does anyone know what the final load will be 4 ohms or 2 ohms?

We have the JBL harness on our site . But just know the factory head unit has no volume control if you plan to just add an amp you have to add a dsp like a dsr1 . And I am sorry I want to be very clear on this part . Buying a 70 dollar harness from us will not get you instructions on how to wire up an entire system you bought somewhere else in a JBL truck . It is very time consuming and spread way too thing these days to go through all that . I try to help everyone as much as I can but just do not have the time to walk everyone through an entire jbl install when they buy a harness. We do send a wiring diagram that tells you what each wire in the harness is though . I just want to be up front on that
