Code just came up sat. secondary air injection pump stuck closed, goes into limp mode, I clear it and it’s good for a couple days then comes back. Could I just keep clearing this code and fix it when it’s time to smog since it’s a emission code, or is this something that could hurt my motor in the long run if I don’t fix rite away? I would think it shouldn’t matter since I’ve seen a kit to bypass these pumps. Not sure though? thanks for your help.

You may need to invest in repairing the unit, or replacing it.... I don't think the bypass is smog legal... There is someone on here who rebuild theirs and is working good with some O'reilly parts may save you some dough. I'll look it up and post the link.

Abs, traction control, and parking brake lights came in this morning and stayed on after I cleared the code, does this have something to do with the p2445 code?

Your pressure sensor is bad, that's why it keeps coming back. You either got to take it to Toyota or bypass it. You will also need a new pressure sensor.

I was thinking it’s just the pump since I don’t hear it turn on anymore.

Are you continuing to get the code after you have erased them? I went through this while down in Charleston for work. I would erase it would come back, I'd pull the negative cable, and it would come back. I was told by Hewitt it was my pressure sensor. I couldn't deal with it anymore so I got the Gen 2 bypass kit and pressure sensor for bank 1. Knock! I haven't had any issues. $600 is a lot cheaper than $4k. Plug N Play kit.

yes it comes back a day or 2 after I erase it. I would do that kit but need to pass smog in ca and from what I read the bypass isn’t ca smog legal.

Yeah , can't help ya there. Hopefully someone who's dealt with it over there will chime in. Hope you get it fixed, it sucked driving in limp mode everywhere

Replaced with a aftermarket one from rock auto, installed and cleared codes. no issues since replaced. It’s been 8 months now.
