My daughter has a 2014 Camry LE. She's has had intermittent issues with door locks not working with the fob. I Replaced the fob battery at some point with no change. Then at some point it will start working. Seems it always worked with the door switch.

Fast forward to last week. It's been working a while without issue until recently where the passenger door lock will not work, even with the door switch. Can I safely assume it's the actuator? Just need another opinion before replacing the part as it is a bit pricey. Also, is there a discount code for Sparks?

    Thanks

you may want to lube the cable that goes from the door lock to the actuator spray both sides and lock and unlock to get it all in there. Its cheaper, I had issues with my door lock on the passenger side about 4 years ago, but I greased it first and its been working fine. If you use lithium grease that black type, you may want to cover the window and anything else you don't want stained.

Thanks for the tip. She comes home next week so I'll open it up and see if that helps, else I'll replace the actuator.

not a problem.... my old toyota is about 20 years old and there is nothing I haven't been able to resolve with a 10, 12, and 14 mm a Phillips head and some grease... good luck.
