    ***OP UPDATED BELOW***

I have been throwing this idea around for roughly a decade. Since posting the original thread, I’ve received a decent amount of interest in this idea. The months of September/October work best for me with revolving days off. Those months I’ll be on Saturday/Sunday off. I’m gonna shoot for mid month on either month.

if you are up for the trip at that time, reply to the thread as such and post preferred month. I’ll start posting interested folks below on a list and we can set a firm date. We can roll Friday mid-day or afternoon and return Sunday or Monday.

Lodging responsibilities will be your handle.

    SEPTEMBER LIST

    1.) kuhlkreations EMT-b (former)
    2.)

    OCTOBER LIST

    1.) kuhlkreations- EMT-B (Former)
    2.)

Again, if anyone has skills or training that we can rely on in case of emergency, please post that and what you can bring supply wise on the reply. I’m not counting on issues, but you never know.

Hopefully we can get some solid plans locked in. Look forward to getting the ball rolling on this.

alright. Let’s we if we can get 5-10 people involved and shoot for a month or two down the road. (I personally have to get time approved at work with everything going on.... not to mention, I don’t know how Vegas will be looking with the second round of FEAR-19 making a convenient appearance.)

let’s see if we can find a route saved by anyone so we can input it...throw supplies, tools, first aid in, just small sh** in case some stupid sh** happens. (We can assign bodies to responsibilities if need be. I’m not licensed any more, but I know a little bit of trauma stuff-if required.)

throw down available dates and we’ll try and iron down some solid plans. Might make this dream come true.

Someone said that’s cool, but I heard that a section of that trail is not kosher to be on, and I’m not down to get a fine. (“Close to $5k”) from what was shared with me.

I haven’t done that section from Death Valley to Vegas, but it looks possible.

Did we do that route on the turkey run or something??

well that’s good to know. I forget where I saw it, but someone had commented that part of MTT was blm and you would be cited. REEAAALLY not looking for any cites for at least the next year or so. Although, I’d really like to say any route would be fantastic for me. I have just always wanted to make the trip happen.

BLM is where you WANT to wheel. BLM land is all open wheeling. At least, I cant recall any BLM land thats restricted. Wilderness areas are generally restricted. National Park, National Forest and State Park are usually "stay on trail"
