Dealer installed TRD dual exhaust system and tonneau cover. Personally installed TRD Pro grille and surround, side mirror caps, and TRD shifter.
Seems these "flimsy covers" hold up well. I thought the oem replacement covers are plastic and replaced the metal covers. I liked the idea of plastic covers over metal for a more solid feel. As mentioned they are fastened with strong tape and the original bolts. Mine feel very solid and cover well for about $150. No chrome showing.
If they become an issue later I may figure out another solution but liking the solid feel and covering of them now.
But, to each his own. You have to figure out what you are looking for, what's important to you, and how much you are willing to spend.
Love this channel for it's diversity and the different things everyone tries.

    15% tint... just getting started
Found some good stuff from a fella on FB selling his 2019 Tundra and parting out his accessories. I got his BakFlip MX4, N-Fab Podium Steps and weather tech floor mats. The steps aren’t exactly what I would have chosen, but for the price, I couldn’t pass it up. $600 for the bundle.E79B6D71-CB5E-426D-9FAE-4914E65711D6.jpg 26BF0531-4695-43AB-8150-4C02E2420455.jpgEEE1D29A-C6AB-419F-981D-4B4714EB6EA0.jpg A82C53C9-0FCA-4D6D-9F57-F1361A317C40.jpg

No issues at all. These are everything we used to build the S12's to be. I even have a 12" SBS VEPR that runs like a sewing machine

Just something to think about upgrading. I melted the piss out of one of those when I was a teenager, but I was also pushing 1500w rms.
I run a anl style one and mounted it on the side of the engine compartment next to the fuse box using some 3m vhb tape.
Another good option is one of these

Finished the KTJO 4x4 mirror auto fold install and added a front camera. Then I had to troubleshoot all nannies on and not being able to shift out of park. Blown fuse and disconnected battery for 30 mins. Everything's working as it should!

Installed coachbuilder shackles. It was a big kick in the nuts to remove the old bushing but the ride of the truck has improved.

    A LOT... NEVER ENDS
I need to get the right tools for this... what method did you use?

My thought is to rent a balljoint tool from advanced auto

Yep, that definitely helped as well as a drill and a torch.

That does work for some, but my bushings wanted nothing to do with the ball joint press. I used a drill to help remove the rubber bushings with a torch and a hammer and chisel. Got the rubber bushing out, then used a sawzall to make two cuts in the sleeve. Then hammer and chisel to pound out the sleeve.

i used the balljoint press from autozone. My truck is 10 years old too so i expected the oe bushings to be frozen...they came out though with the press. It gets them 95% of the way. Then i used a punch and a hammer to push them the rest of the way out. Worked really well
