I got my Access roll up cover and ADARAK put on last night. Top notch quality and very sturdy. I had an access roll up on my last Tundra for a decade and was still in good shape. Made it the USA. Very happy with this set up.

I'm tired of the roll-up canister in the otherwise very secure and nice metal tonneaus I've had.

Is the diamondback HD a simple, out of box, DIY install? They give an option of preinstalled cleats or not. If not, are there holes there to screw them into when you need them and remove them when you don't or are you hosed if you go without them?

    Any experience with peragon covers?

Looking for secure, but trying to not lose what little bed space there is, though I guess if I did the diamondback I could put bed drawers in and never miss a beat :bananadance:

If anyone has either of these company's products and could comment on whether driving with them in anything but the closed position is an option (i.e. partially folded open) then I'd appreciate knowing that too. The roll-up aluminium covers with the canister forward in the bed are at least able to be driven with them in any degree of openness of position.

I have the Undercover Flex on my truck and love it! It has better seals than the Bakflip and is easy to install/remove. This hard folding tonneau cover does not leak also.

    Chandler, AZ, not anymore :(
That's what I'm looking at, Undercover Flex FX41007. I have a shell on my bed now, but I want a somewhat secure tri-fold, to give me ability to use most of the bed if I need to.

Don’t know if Truffle pulled the trigger after all on a tonneau cover but I used to have a GATOR Trifold. I liked the cover to a certain degree. A few things really bugged me; one was the two screws towards the front of the truck that held the cover in place. Any slight over tightening resulted in the cover warping. You may argue that why it was overtightened; one day I had to remove the cover and noticed the bed paint was chipped close to the end caps. Realized the cover had shifted and the lower caps hit the bed; did some paint chip repair on the area and then reinstalled the cover but this time a little tighter to ensure it wouldn’t move. The next time I removed it, I noticed the top portioned where the screws were had caved in. It was the model that had styrofoam in the middle (sandwich style). It just didn’t seem like a rigid product and it was still around 900 bucks.

The company never claimed it to be waterproof; just weather proof which I think most manufacturers will do anyway. So things would get wet but I didn’t care much for that at the time. The final thing that I didn’t like is that it did start looking faded fairly quickly; however, South Texas temperature is only hot and hotter.

Long story short, I pulled the trigger on a Diamondback SE; they’re not cheap but from what I’ve read and seen, it’s a solid product. The SE is rated for 400 lbs and the GATOR was rated at 300 but I don’t think the GATOR could really hold 300 given how easy that area warped.

I also bought the Diamondback SE. Very easy install (2 person). Very pleased so far.
Perhaps when I've lost a bit more weight there can be date night in one of those tent-on-top set ups :broccoli:

I have the Diamondback SE and I’m thrilled with it. I’m in Oregon and I’ve experienced no leaks at all with it. Also, I have strapped lumber, appliances, furniture, etc... on top of it and it just works great.

    Its an easy 1-person install.
