Is there a way (besides pedal commander) to stay in tow/haul permanently?

Yup, Casper3 already told me about the beep and refusal. I use the engine braking frequently. Especially since I got he DD exhaust. It sounds so good.

Press the Tow/Haul and don't press it again, leave it engaged

I mean without having to press it every time I start the truck. Mine turns off if I turn the truck off.

I guess that would depend on how hard you are pressing the gas. I just drive it normal in tow/haul. Yes it will rev higher if pushed but who drives like that all the time. It also shifts less in tow/haul mode so there is that too.

Does it affect the gas mileage much?

Oh yea, as well as the life of your rear tires.

Also for the constant on people, they make a plug in module for the Tacoma ECT that makes it always on, I'm sure something is out there for the Tundra too.

Tow/haul also helps in hilly areas. I don't like to use it in towns with lights or stop and go traffic.
