It all started with my rear main seal. While replacing that, I also replaced my front pump seal (torque converter seal). Well that was the wrong size and lost a lot of fluid on the way to work and back home. Dropped the tranny again To replace pump seal and rolled out. But I didn’t have 1st and 2nd while in drive. So I researched and ended up getting a new valve body cover for the tranny after I found out it had been cracked. Well after replacing that and putting all new solenoids. I crank it up to only find out that my reverse gear is neutral and my neutral gear is actually drive. I need help pin pointing what it may be before I drain all my fluid again for the 4th time.

Make sure your connectors are in the correct place... It sounds like you possibly connected the harness backwards. You may have a pigtail hanging somewhere and an open socket, which may be the easiest in labeling what they are based on what you don't have right now...

Blackdemon_tt are you referring to the wire harness for the solenoids?

No, the ones on top of the transmission.. if you've dropped the transmission, odds are you have disconnected a few connectors at the top of the transmission to where the shift linkage goes up to the shifter... odds are either the sensor is damaged, or it was connected incorrectly, highly suggest you check these out... there is a video, that's unrelated that may give you an idea to what I mean.

I see what you’re saying, but I had reverse until I exchanged the valve body cover and solenoids, I didn’t drop the transmission in order to change the valve body cover. I’m still going to check them but I’m almost positive it isn’t the cause but I’ll get back to you.

I would assume a TCM issue... unless stuff was removed and depinned and repinned backwards....
