Hello, I have a 2019 SR5 Crewmax that is fully stock. I have a few questions:

    1. What leveling kit would be the best bang for my buck?
    2. Is it easy to install yourself?
    3. If I get it installed by a body shop, what is a reasonable price?

    Thanks in advance!

First question should be do you plan on doing any off-roading? If so, to what extent? or like mine, is this a pavement princess?

@Toytec Lifts is your place to go! That’s where I purchased my Billstein 5100s and couldn’t be happier.

Honestly I was in the same boat and finally went to a local shop that does lifts. I did not have to go through him as the advice was free, but as good as this forum is it's almost too much information. I went in and said, I want to lift it some, not too much, but enough to get bigger tires without rubbing. I have never gone off road but I would like to try some light off road to see how it goes. Then he told me what to get with the wheels and tires I would eventually be upgrading to. YMMV

    Hello there,

Leveling can be done with shity spacers, or proper new suspension, meaning shocks, UCA's, shackles, leaf springs etc.

Do you tow, or plan to?
Do you carry real aka, heavy payloads, or do you plan to?

If so, leveling is not a good choice as then under load your ass will sag reducing looks and handling.

You may do a lift which keeps the factory rake, or some of it, so you don't get ass sag.

Then further considerations involve whether you plan to off road, and what type and how hard.

Figure out these and get back to us.

I don’t do much off-roading unless it’s a dirt road that leads to some good fishing spots. I’m mainly looking to level it out to match the front & back end

I would go with the Billstein 5100s then personally. I have the front set at top setting which leveled my truck perfectly. Shop charged me 400 bucks for install and alignment as well as mounting and balancing my new tires. I purchased my front and rear Billstein 5100 shocks from @Toytec Lifts for around 400 bucks I believe. Good luck and can’t wait to see what you do!

I bought the RC 1.75’’ leveling kit from a local guy. $375 for the kit, install, and alignment. I’m sure it’s not difficult to install, I just wouldn’t want to do it unless it was on a lift and I had air tools. Good luck!

I have 6112s at +1.9" and nothing on rear. I tow a 5000 lb boat and haul 1500 lbs of corn frquently with no issues at all.

    That sounds about right.

You raised the front 1.9in but the rake I think is 2.5 or 2.75in. So you still have some rake, like me, but I did 3in front and 1.75 rear.

So your light or medium tongue weight, with some rake left, gets you about level more or less, which is by design.

I'm almost surprised those weights don't give you a little sag at that setting, but that is very good to hear. Makes me happy in my choice to keep some rake, in case I ever tow or payload which I hope to do. Makes it seem as though they gave it more rake then it needed to not sag under max loads.

That's sounds like something from Toyota of old, over build, underpromise lol. Part of what made there vehicles great.

I just added 5100s on Friday on the middle setting up front. Only 3/4” rake now. Looks level visually.

get it aligned on Monday. Rockauto had them in stock and were less than $400 shipped with a 5% off promo code.
