Does anyone know where the plug is located to install a trailer brake controller? I'm told as long as you have the factory tow package (7 pin connector, etc.) that there is an empty plug to make this install "plug-n-play".

I've tried to watch a couple of you tube videos but I haven't been able to locate the plug, which is supposed to be taped up somewhere under the dash. I've order the CURT Brake Controller and compatible plug pigtail, so all I have to do now if locate that damn plug and mount everything up.

Anyone out there know the location?

So... I find it hard to believe that with all the modifications made to these that no one has installed their own brake controller to tow with their Sequoia?

Thanks man. Google and I are great friends. Already been down this route. Seems as though the mythical pin isn't located in the same spot on the second gen Sequoia from what I can tell, which is exactly why I wanted to see if anyone else had successfully located the pin.

On a 2016 Tundra it's located behind the trim panel with the cubby and tow/haul button. I guess I'll pull that panel and next.

Thank you again for your extremely helpful response.

Mine is on the drivers side floorboard under the kick panel to the top. There wasn't a wire there, only a plug in. Hope this helps.

After a long search I ended up locating the plug. There are terminated plugs everything under the drivers side. I cut open 3-4 different taped harness sections. Finally found it under the kick panel taped up about a half an arms length up. After that everything is plug and play.

Did you happen to take pictures of where it is while you were in there? I'm about to do this as well.

Its definitely under the drivers side kick panel. Remove the panel and its taped vertically to one of the larger cables. I had to use an exacto to make a small slit in the tap and pull it down. If you look in your owners manual there is actually a diagram detailing the location.
