    Hi all,
    I have recently purchased the HPTuners setup and started playing around with the software.
    I quickly discovered that there is barely any information out there on how to tune a Tundra, so I am creating this thread to help anyone else that is interested in tuning their own truck, or just wants to get a better understanding of how the Tundra ECU works.
    Please keep in mind that I am not an expert tuner by any means and this is more of a hobby for me.

    What about 4hi? Seems like the same thing happens in deep sand or hill climbs. It doesn't feel like I have full power. (I was able to remove the limits in 4lo, but not 4hi. I am starting to wonder if its possible)

    There is a throttle limit setting in 1st gear in 4HI, but on my stock TRD supercharged tune it was already set to max throttle opening angle. Your NA tune might be different.

    Yes, you can disable any codes you want.
    On my truck, I have removed the air pumps, air pump driver and all the wiring/piping completely.
    Will make a video on that sometime soon.

    They come with dead time tables, but I found I had to modify those anyways to make it idle right.
    Yes, I can send you my tune specs for those injectors.

    Also intested in what TM you've removed for shifting. I see Spark pull (which I am fine with) but also fuel pulling at shift. THAT needs to stop asap:monocle:.

    Also, anyone here joined the HPTuner forum? They have a repository post with some really good info.

    @ViktorG Is it possible to use the HP tunes to change the shift points? I've put a 3" lift and 295/70R18 tires on my truck. I have the tow package with the 4.3 diffs. If I put it in tow/haul mode it drives great, but I have to manually enable it every time I start the truck. I'd prefer to retain the tow/haul shifting characteristics if it could be the default behavior. If you could provide any info on how to approach making this change, I'd greatly appreciate it!

    Yes, you definitely can.
    Copy the tow/haul shift tables and paste them into normal shift tables.
    Done.

    In addition to that, change the ETC,
    Electronic Throttle Control in regular mode to match those in Tow/Haul mode. This essentially does kind of what the pedal commander does and opens the throttle more with less pedal, but it will make you have the exact same feel that you get in Tow/Haul.
