Leveling? New to a lot of this vocabulary.

    So, I'm very new to truck life. I helped the hubs replace the power steering king on our 2006 Tundra. And that's about the extent of my knowledge. I ride and maintain my own motorcycles, but trucks are much larger and more intimidating.

    At the risk of sound like a dullard, can you guy please elucidate the benefits of leveling a truck? Our 2013 is leveled, and it drives like a car. Aside from that, I'm clueless as to the benefits.

    My 2017 is in the shop, and I'm crossing my fingers that they dont total it. It sits quite high, and corners are sketch on it. Is this something that leveling might mitigate?

    Edit: Also, I haul heavy loads of steel with some regularity. Don't know if that changes things.

    Leveling mostly for aesthetics and to get larger tires.
    Sway bar would help with your cornering issue.

    Thank you for your input. There is such a difference cornering in the 2006 and the 2013 (leveled) compared to mine, that it warrants investigation. I'm used to hatchbacks and motorcycles, so this realm is very new to me.

    Not an expert but have s few thoughts.
    The 06 is totally different but the 13 and 17 should have the same or very similar front ends. Are the shocks on the 13 original or have they been replaced? Different shocks could help it corner better. Also back to the leveling kit; most say that the ride stiffens with the simple spacer lift if still using stock shocks. Stock shocks are not in their optimum extension with the spacer lift, causing a stiffer ride which could theoretically help in cornering.
