I've got ~6k miles on these mouted to the 4runner and they haven't even begun to get through the wear bar on the top of the tread. I'm guessing 50k from them on the 4runner. When my Trail Grapplers wear out it will be hard not to get them again but might consider these.

No, I'm running 295/70r18 on mine. They've been absolutely awesome, on and off-road.

Had 285 75 18s installed yesterday. They balanced nicely, look great, seem more comfy over choppy roads compared to stock, but boy are they noisy on the highway! Above 50mph they really start to whirl and howl. Sounds almost like a blown wheel bearing if you've ever heard that noise.

Yup, same experience I and a few others have had.

Posted about it some pages ago.

    Otherwise great tires.

I have 8000 miles on the Cooper AT3 XLT in 285/75R18 and am selling them to a fellow Tundra owner. I am getting the Toyo in 285/75R18 and will be able to tell everyone a lot more within a few days how noise comparison is as well as anything else. Please let me know what info you need. I am putting them on August 8th.

I do love the Coopers. I live in the south so snow rating isn’t necessary for me. The weight and noise is awesome and the warranty is solid as well. I have a new Tundra owner that wants wheels and tires, so he is buying my wheels and tires and I am using that money to “experiment” with the Toyo ATIIIs and some different wheels. This way he gets some SCS wheels with no wait time and I can try my new idea which is the Method 315 (+18 offset compared to +25 for SCS which is a very very small difference so I should be okay) That’s the only reason. I am a huge fan of the Cooper though. If the Toyos are not what I thought, I have 500 miles to decide and I will send them back and get the Cooper again.

This is also what I’m running and I feel like I need more pressure up front. The tires are also starting to get cupping on outer edge, which also happened with my last KO2s. I’m thinking my toe is not right on my alignment. Anyone have any ideas?

Toe is something easy to check at home with a tape measure just for a quick and rough check.

Which tires are those and how is the road noise? My wife's Honda Pilot are in need of some new tires soon and I was debating if I should do the same brand tire brand or try something different.

Toto AT 3's. Same size as the stock tire.

Definitely not as quiet as the stock tire but you can definitely hear them. Seem to hear them slowing down more than anything. My wife hasn't complained at all.

Going to powder coat her wheels before fall and vinyl wrap all the chrome black.

I’m looking at going to these from Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws. Anybody have any experience with both tires?

Curious if these will wear better but worried these will be louder. Loved the Falken in the snow/ice and hoping these will do as well.

    Any feedback is welcome.

@MT1794PRO I can honestly say the Falken's are much quieter, but these Toyo's are not that loud at all. As a matter of fact wife said there pretty quite, as far as wear dunno yet..

    How many on your Falkens?

Wife's assessment taken on worn Falken vs new Toyo I assume?

If I remember correctly I think I had around 20ish k before falkens were sold..they were awesome tires but they didn't make them in the size I wanted..

Finally installed the Toyo AT III in 285/75R18 on Method 315s. They look and sound identical to the Cooper AT3 XLT. The treads are very similar as is the sound. I can hear my exhaust over both of them, so road noise is not an issue at all.

I am including photos so other forum members can see the minor differences.

Nope, and the non LT tires sidewall are less aggressive.
