So I'm replacing my part number 87940-0C430 with these, which is listed in the part numbers that it replaces. But because mine is a 2019, they are saying they will not warrant the product. Like, say, if a month down the road the mirror glass falls out, or the mirror starts spotting, or whatever, they won't honor the warranty. I got them to at least note the matching part numbers. If you want tow mirrors with BSM, however, these are the only option currently.

How do they know what year model you have? Couldnt you just order some for a 2018?

Yeah, that's what I did. When I talked to them on the phone and mentioned 2019, they made a bunch of noise about it. So if you did order them for a 2019 and had an issue, you'd need to make sure you don't mention the year or they'll deny the warranty.

They fit great by the way. So glad I got to keep my BSM.

If you have bsm with the current mirrors it should work. If you have a vehicle present when you hit your turn signal the bsm light flashes, which means it has a power source for the blinker in the mirror.

Can you or anyone clarify? You can gain BSM if you didn’t have it? eg; on SR5

If you don’t have blind spot monitoring from the factory, you will not get it by putting these mirrors on.
My sr5 had it before I put theses mirrors on and it work great with the new mirrors .

Thanks, I’m an idiot, my brain kept reading “you do NOT need this feature...” lol. Makes sense. I was being hopeful as I gained signal markers I did not have before.

Hi Guys. New to forum. I got a set of the Trail Ridge tow mirrors for my 2018 1794 edition but BSM is staying illuminated at all times while driving, for about 1 minute while parked, and all times when doors are open. They will occasionally start to blink but it seems almost random, I haven't figured out the pattern yet.

    https://www.1aauto.com/2014-19-toyota-tundra-mirror-set-trail-ridge/i/1amrp01768?f=1074674&y=2018

I'm thinking my 1794 edition is causing issue since it had all the factory trimmings: power fold, puddle, memory, auto dim, blinker, BSM, RCTA, heat, blinker. 1A Auto said there is no fix but maybe I can go to dealer to get the truck re-flashed to remove certain features and it might fix issue. Blinker and power mirror adjust work fine, no clearance light functionality and BSM doesn't work properly.

Anyone come across the issue, find a solution or find a way to re-pin the harness to fix BSM?

1a auto sells other mirrors with all those functions such as:
    https://www.1aauto.com/2014-19-toyota-tundra-mirror-set-trail-ridge/i/1amrp02082

I would have gotten those since your mirrors has all those options.

I saw those too. I called 1a and they said no guarantee since they don’t have all functions (memory and auto dim).

I actually just rewired the harness and got it all working. Even ran an extra wire through door harness into dash and tagged to my running lights. Now BSM and running (clearance) lights work. I even tagged the puddle light wires at the mirror harness so I’ll eventually install some puddle lamps under the mirror. Just didn’t want to drill a hole yet since they’re so new.

Is this hard to do? Have the GM style and my clearance lights on the outside don't work however I have an in mirror turn signal that works along with my BSM and power. Just the outer signal and clearance lights do not work.

You can wire up pretty easy if you know what pins in your factory mirror harness control those functions. You can either re-pin the harness or cut/solder the wiring to make it work. You can find out using a DMM and a lot of patience or I bet there is a GM forum that could give you pin out or wire colors. I have notes on my tundra pin locations that made my mirrors work.

Was planning on eventually doing a write up since I haven’t seen any 2018-2019 fully loaded tundra mods for these mirrors posted yet.

Does anyone know if these will work on a 2020 Limited with BSM and Lane Departure Warning? I'm looking at trading my '17 Crewmax SR5 for a '20 Double Cab Limited, but I need towing mirrors. The factory towing mirrors aren't available with the Limited Premium package, so aftermarket it is.

    Thanks!

Did you guys found anything about 2020 TRD sport Premium with BSM? Genuine or Aftermarket? Toyota seems to have missed this one....

Just installed these myself and love them. Thanks for the recommendation. Have yet to get on the road but initial impression is positive.

They were a very simple install after watching video on 1A website. Took maybe half hour for both. Smoked marker/turn signal is a nice touch. Should definitely help me see around the boat while towing.

I got mine and installed them today. Link below. I have a 2018 Limited, and it was nice to retain BSM, heated mirrors, and power mirror adjustments. Gained marker lights and turn signals which is awesome. Smoked out lights/signals look great. Be careful installing; the studs can strip easily (I need to get a replacement stud), and also, watch when removing the nuts, that they don’t fall into the door shell; about happened to me...almost mudded my drawers! The only other issue I have is the mirrors do indeed vibrate. Not ridiculously, but noticeable. Seals are seated properly, and nice and tight, but still a little vibrating. I’ll probably get used to it though; it’s a trade-off, retaining factory features and gaining the marker lights, turn signals, and tow extensions, versus a little mirror vibration and not paying the crazy price for factory tow mirrors, which would cause me to lose BSM. I’m overall happy with the $300 spent.

I went on highway, went 120km/hr no vibration yet that I’ve notice. Will report back after a few more miles.

I have a 2018 SR5 CM with the TRD Sport package. I had stock bsm and heat but no blinkers or running lights. With theses mirrors I now have blinkers, running lights, heat and bsm. Really just plug n play

The attached picture is of my wire colors and pin locations on the truck driver side mirror harness (in the door not the mirror). It’s from a 2018 1794 edition with all possible mirror functions such as fold, heat, puddle light, blinker, BSM, dim, memory, etc. it could be a good start to locate BSM wire. I had to re-pin my BSM wire when hooking up the mirrors I previously noted on this thread. I was also able to hook up the signal wire to running lights to turn on side marker and installed an led puddle light and wired to noted pins accordingly.

Been about 1.5 years and going strong.

Check the build link in my signature.
BSM in trucks that don’t have memory is in a different spot at the mirror connector... I think it’s pin 18 instead but don’t recall exactly at the moment.
