I think we hammered pinch weld a tad but not much. I was so happy they cleared so well because it was a bitch getting 34s to fit on my 3rd gen 4runner haha if I didn't have such a complex, I'd go back down to 34s. But the 35s are just too sexy

I suffer from the same issue......

Great build love the color. And the stock bumper, saves a ton of weight

Thanks! Yeah it helped a tad with getting up the mountains and whatnot. I think my husband's current plan is a coastal offroad weld together front bumper. He wants to design his own rear. We don't like the looks of high clearance rears so he's gonna design us something different. Then he's gonna build a camper shell/pop up tent like go fast campers. So we'll be regearing shortly anyway haha

Yeah I don’t like most, check out mine in my build.

Regear was huge for me. Truck was a dog on 3.91s and 35s.

4.88s she scoots. Wishing / refining I should have done 4.56 now that I am putting the blower on...

My husband is at it again! This time he made a-pillars. They fit Baja xl80s which is pretty neat. Once we wire up some pods we'll take pictures of all the lights

I may have just binged this whole thread

Beautiful truck and great work!

While I’m in here, just to confirm:
You’re running the F5s 17x8.5 with 4.3” back spacing, no wheel spacers, and clearing the spindle and UCA with the 35x12.5 RTs, correct?

Hey guys, husband here. It has been a busy few months over here between Sam getting a new job, selling our home and currently buying one, and the accident..

Some upgrades are coming soon though! After we finally move, I will be building new headlights, front bumper and installing some Fiberwerx front fenders to replace the bacon fenders on the truck currently. :dancingbacon:

Have you been able to get these installed? Curious on how you like them!

    Thank you!
Correct. Idk if it will clear oem UCA though, we are running TC UCA.

Oh no what happened?! The truck or the Lexus?
Yeah I got them installed but I don’t have my pods mounted yet. Very low profile and hug the APiller nice and tight. I can barely see the brackets when im driving, I know that will change once the pods are on but they will be out of the line of site

Oh man, sorry to hear there’s been an accident. Hopefully everyone is OK!

Good on her for the new gig, hopefully a promotion of sorts

I’m not in a Tundra yet, but have plans to sell my taco and make the switch. UCAs won’t be stock for long haha so that’s exactly what I needed to know, thank you! :fistbump:

The truck fortunately. I don't think the wagon would have faired as well.

    IMG_20200928_121649.jpg

Glad to hear! I still need to wire up my lights.

Ya everyone is OK. It was a lower speed accident.

She's loving it! She's an apprentice dog trainer, trying to learn and work her way up. Definitely a mental health promotion.

Perfect! Glad to have helped.

Fenders were delivered today! Picked up a color matched hood and grille from a local junk yard. Hoping to have time this weekend to install the fenders and hood.

I was surprised too. I have only seen one other truck with blue marlin here in AZ. I have seen a few of the blue steel driving around though.

Got the fenders installed yesterday. They fit pretty good, weren't too hard for my first time installing glass.

Unfortunately not the Tundra. Haha. Thank you! We were beginning to plan some updates for the Tundra, and at the beginning of the year Sam was in a minor accident that damaged the 4runner pretty good, it hasn't been driven since. We are currently waiting on some upgraded replacement parts, but here is a little teaser. :p The Tundra did surprising well towing the 4runner into work so I can finish some welding and installing parts once they arrive. :mudding:

It will be hard to sell the first gen though. That was our first real truck..

    Dang. that thing is cool.

    Does it get like 10mpg?

Your 1st gen is definitely top 5 builds in my book.

If I'm light it'll get like 11-12 mpg. We plan to drop to 35s, get preload off the front kings, drop the rear to level it and remove the spare tire out of the bed. All of that should help.

Well, the time has come to finally list the first gen. I'm hoping someone in our local Facebook group picks it up before I list it anywhere else. I'll definitely miss it but I could see us getting another one if we ever need a dedicated ranch truck. Butttt the 4runner has been an absolute blast!

Well no one has been really interested in the Tundra. We've gotten complaints about the bedside dent so we said screw it and decided to install rear fiberglass. Aaron got about halfway through it today so I'll post updated pictures when it's all finished. If it still doesn't sell then we might get silly and throw 37s on it. At that point, possibly keep it. We'll see :notsure:

Not sure if anyone wants to see 4runner updates so I might throw some in here and there but try to keep it to the Tundra build. Aaron did fully design and fab the front bumper which is so cool :welder:
