I have searched and read most the threads and know max size tire for stock but the SX comes with smaller tires and I’m a newb soo,,, for those that will offer some advice... the SX comes with 255/70r18 and they look so small in the wheel wells. Do I have to change rims or can I put 275/65 on the rim?? If not what’s biggest I can go without changing rim?

The sx package uses the same wheels as the TRD off-road, just painted black. You'll have no issues going to a 275-65-18. It's roughly the same diameter (may differ +/-.2" from brand to brand) and just 20mm wider at the casing. If you're concerned about the tire looking too small (speaking to it's diameter) in the wheel well, then you're better off going with something taller than the 275-65

Thank you!! I am going replace factory tires in the fall. A lot more options with the 275/65/18.

I put on 275/65/18 Continental AT last fall. Like them alot, quiet ,ride good and decent in the snow but I have dedicated snow tires and rims.

275/70-18s fit well, hair over 33 inches tall so 1 inch larger than stock. 285/70-18 fit too, not many choices in that size, RG being the best. People have put on 295/70-18 no lift, but it is pretty tight and looks "stuffed". The 285 and 295s are 34 inch tires.
