Hey all thank you for the help sorting out my earlier post, with the fluid topped off I am now getting the Code you had told me about the P0770 E solenoid. Do you feel when this pops its time for a new solenoid or could something else cause this.

Is this something I can fix/replace at home or a transmission shop?

    Thank you

I’d find the best specialized transmission shop near you and let them handle it. The one near me charges a service fee and puts the truck on a computer hook up that senses the entire system. They can also rebuild transmissions better than new tailored to your driving style with all the improvements in valve bodies and internal parts. Hopefully yours is just something simple.

Always better to stay with the original thread so folks can follow.

Fortunately the valve body can get worked on without dropping the trans. Did you clear codes? Do you have an FSM? I've heard of so many issues related to ground problems in the past and shift solenoids on a trans are no different in that they often have a ground nearby. Might be an easy check.

I Will put it up on my rack this evening and give the wires a look!

Yes I cleared all of the codes, I do notice when over 60mph and I touch the brake the Torque converter does not seem to lock/unlock up.
